Esterillos is central to two large marinas (Quepos Marina and Los Suenos Marina) and is well known to be a fishing mecca. Surfing is also very popular in the area and there are surf shops offering lessons. This home is 2 hrs from San Jose airport and 30min from the booming beach town of Jaco. If you are looking for a place to recharge and explore look no further, this is the place for you. You can literally walk for miles in either direction along the beach and enjoy breathtaking sunrises and sunsets. The west end of the village features a unique lava reef, that emerges at low tide forming natural pools and showcasing the famous mermaid statue. The east side gives the town its name, thanks to the estuary, which is also an excellent spot for fishing.
