Villa el Barco is a traditional and attractive single storey two bedroom villa with a private pool and gorgeous views all around. The villa has one double bedroom, one twin bedroom and one bathroom with capacity for 4 guests.



The property is located in a quiet rural area known as "Loma de las Cuadrillas". This is a nature reserve with richly planted hills, amazing landscapes and numerous paths for trekking. However, although it is in a remote location, the villa is still within 20 minutes' drive of the centre of Nerja. In addition, there is the option to drive into the smaller resort of La Herradura, approximately 15 minutes' drive away. This lovely little resort offers a good range of beachside restaurants, shops, bars and small supermarkets. There are also two lovely secluded beaches at El Cañuelo and Cantarrijan (part of which is nudist) within a few minutes drive of the villa.



So, if you are looking for somewhere to stay that's away from the crowds and to enjoy peace and tranquility, this is the perfect choice.



The accommodation is equipped with the following facilities:



Outside:Private swimming pool, shaded terrace with patio furniture, sunbeds, barbeque, parking area for 1 car (outside of the property), gorgeous views.

Inside:Wi-Fi, iron, hair dryer, fireplace, TV. SAT channels, safe box. cealing fans in the living room and two bedrooms. Air conditioning unit in the living room.



In the kitchen, the facilities include fridge freezer, microwave, oven, washing machine, dishwasher, dishes/cutlery, kitchen utensils, coffee machine and kettle.

Villa el Barco is located 80 km from Malaga airport, 98km from Granada airport, 12 km from Nerja centre with a wonderful choice of shops, bars and restaurants to enjoy, 8 km from the beach resort of La Herradura with a good choice of restaurants, bars and shops to enjoy, 13 km from beautiful Burriana beach and restaurants in Nerja, 13 km from the famous Balcon de Europa in Nerja, 10 km from the famous Nerja Caves, 18 km from the pretty hillside village of Frigiliana, 37 km from Aquavelis water park, 40 km from Baviera Golf course, 90 km from the world famous Alhambra Palace in Granada.

Villa el Barco is private, situated in a really quiet location. The nice thing for us was the close proximity to the beach, the nearby towns and of course the villa and it's lovely swimming pool. One little thing that could be improved is the key situation. There is always the worry you will lock yourself out! Also, maybe some larger bath towels.

The nice house is on one level

The nice house is on one level. It is conveniently laid out and it has excellent beds. The owner is nice and solves problems as quickly as possible. It is very quiet and secluded and you hear many different birds. Lovely swimming pool. It is easily accessible via a paved road.

Great views and peaceful

Really enjoyed our stay. You overlook mountains, almost a 360 view, could also see the sea in the distance. At night you have a wonderful view of the the stars. The pool was good not too small.The only down side of the location is that you would find it a tad difficult to drive at night as there are no street lamps and the road up is winding and quite narrow. Apart from that we had a lovely time nice and quite and its only mins drive to the beach!!

The villa was the perfect fit for us, lovely and clean, quiet and private. Whilst it doesn't have A/C in the bedrooms, the ceiling fan is extremely effective and very, very quiet, so A/C isn't required, (probably the quietness fan I have ever known)! The road up to the villa is steep and narrow, but this meant there were very few cars, which was excellent. Having a second front door key to the key safe to prevent being locked out.

Everything except the toilet. Make people aware that the toilet can not take loo roll and that you have to use a bin. This could be improved. The swimming pool filter got clogged with dead flys, when in pool flys would wash out of filter ports. Maybe a mid week clean of the filters would be a good idea. A gate across the steps leading to the underneath of the swimming pool for safety of young children. Install smoke alarm.
