We had an absolutely wonderful stay at The Old Candle Shop. We loved the spaciousness of the house, and everything we needed was provided. Also, the beds were so comfortable. We didn't want to leave!

Everything you'd want it to be!

Moreton-in-Marsh is one of our favorite spots, and being just a short drive from so many places The Old Candle Shop is a great 'home base' for exploring - that is, if you even want to leave the house! Wonderful layout and plenty of room for everyone to be downstairs together, whether in the kitchen, dining area, or sitting room plus amazing full-open doors to the private patio area, comfortable beds, really nicely appointed laundry facilities - we stay in the area 3-4 times each year, and, though we've rented other places along the way, we keep coming back to The Old Candle Shop. I think that says it all, really!

Family Christmas trip to Morton in Marsh, great location and lovely cottage

Great cottage, in a lovely location. Very well equipped with everything you need and more for a great stay. Done to a high spec, and bigger than it appears in the pictures. Cosy and comfortable lounge, with plenty of seating, and a lovely log burner which is great in winter months. The owners even went to the length of decorating for Christmas which was a lovely touch to our family holiday. Would definitely go back!

Fantastic accommodation in a fantastic location

Fantastic accommodation with everything we needed. Loved the welcome pack and the coffee pods. Great location just off the High Street. Would provide a warning about the car port. I have a medium sized car and it was tight getting into the parking space. Would also have liked some walking guides.

Great location, beautiful cottage

We had a wonderful time at the Old Candle Shop. The location is perfect and having space for a car was great for day trips. The space was clean and had all of the amenities we could need. Great for a family vacation. The hot tub was a wonderful bonus to use in the evening.

Lovely place to stay

The Old Candle shop was a lovely place to stay. It is beautifully presented and well equipped. Although in the heart of Moreton in Marsh it is surprisingly private. The hot tub was the icing on the cake! Would love to stay again.

Lovely

We had such a lovely stay at The Old Candle Shop, it’s a beautiful little house. It was spotless and the welcome basket was a lovely extra touch. The beds were really comfortable and we loved the hot tub. We hope to come again ☺️

Weekend with friends

For a 5 star rating,accommodation tired, lots of cobwebs also Main negative was we were cold, 18 degrees fixed for underfloor heating is nowhere near enough, no flexibility to increase, 7 logs for Woodburner gave us 2 hrs warmth!

Fab Five Days

This cottage is just lovely. It was really clean on arrival and had everything you could possibly need. The location is perfect and the hot tub a great asset. We were able to access everywhere really easily which was a bonus. We didn’t want to leave!!

Perfect

Stunning house ! Stunning location ! Very close to the town and close for field walks for the dogs ! The house was amazing very clean and well presented and the secure carport for the car was a bonus as was the hottub for a soak at night !!

Gorgeous house & great location

The old candle shop is a beautiful house, & well equipped with all you need, including fans as we had a super hot weekends stay, upstairs bedrooms gets very very warm with the big glass windows. Great location to the town, & good having an electric charger for the car. Only disappointiment was a little bit more attention needed to the cleanliness of hot tub, we had to wipe all round the edges ourselves before use. Would definitely recommend house for a stay at Cotswolds!

A beautiful place to stay

We had a fantastic few days at The Old Candle Shop. The cottage was beautiful and spotlessly clean. It also had absolutely everything anyone would need from milk and butter in the fridge to dog treats in the cupboard. Location-wise, the cottage is in the heart of Moreton-in-Marsh, just behind the High Street, with plenty of places to eat and drink. The walks were beautiful too! A perfect place to stay and we wouldn't hesitate to go back again, it was a real 'home from home' holiday.

Lovely festive stay

We had a lovely stay at The Old Candle shop. Everything we needed was there for four of us, it was lovely done! We spent our evenings by the fire playing games and watching Christmas films. Location was great as we had everything we needed in the village but was easy to get to all the villages we wanted to visit too. It was also lovely having our own ensuite too and the piano was a nice touch. We would 100% stay again.

Brilliant

Clean well maintained property, excellent location. Good to have hot tub, though there were no sterilising tablets to put in the water once used even though instructions ask you to put them in after you get out.

Beautiful

A wonderful bit of luxury with plenty of space to relax and unwind, everything there to make it a hone from home with a thoughtfully chilled bottle of prosecco on arrival. Brilliantly situated if you wanted to ditch the car for a week as so many eateries and shops and walks on the doorstep. Finish the day in the hot tub to totally de stress
