About this property

Ty'r Felin @ Nolton Haven Mill

Refurbished in 2021, Ty'r Felin is a modern three-bedroom bungalow with an open plan kitchen, living and dining area.

It boasts a log burner and a six seater hot tub. There is an ensuite shower room, a family bathroom and a separate toilet. There is also a sweeping garden with a patio with beach views.

Situated in the breath-taking Pembrokeshire National Park, Ty’r Felin is moments from the beach and coastal path.

There is also a pub/cafe between us and the beach, and a farm shop at the other end of the village.

INSIDE TY’R FELIN
70 meters from the beach, this modern bungalow sleeps up to six people in three cosy rooms. Two bedrooms have king size beds. The third has a bunk bed with a single bed on top, and a double bed on the bottom. The master bedroom has a small shower ensuite. There is a separate WC and a large family bathroom with a deep soak bath on one side, and walk in rainfall shower on the other. It's perfect for families, couples or friends to spend time together and relax in the wilds of Pembrokeshire.

High ceilings and big windows help the living area feel light and airy. The fully equipped kitchen features a dishwasher and coffee pod machine. The living area has a six seat dining table and comfy seats around the log burner or looking out at the view.

There are slate floors and underfloor heating throughout. There is space in the entrance hall for coats, muddy walking boots, wellies, buckets and spades, surfboards...

OUTSIDE TY’R FELIN
A bifold door opens from the living area straight onto the patio and grassy area outside. There are tables and chairs for alfresco dining or for simply just enjoying your morning coffee while listening to the waves. From the patio you can access the hot tub, barbeque/firepit and look out on the beach to see if the tide has come in. The lawn provides plenty of space to enjoy games, sunbathe, drink in the spectacular sunsets, or marvel at the number of stars you can see here with the naked eye.

The BBQ is charcoal, the firepit is wood burning.

There is a warm outside shower and tap. Now you can rinse off the salt and sand after a wild swim or gnarly surf, before jumping into the hot tub. Or just for the novelty of a warm outside shower as our recent guests did. It's fantastic for kids (of any age!), or maybe your dogs love the water and you want to rinse off any mud and sand before they come into the house.

EXTRA INFO
The entrance gate and start of the drive is shared with one other holiday property which we also manage. Please message if you are interested in renting both out together. It is the Mill House in Nolton Haven.

Private off-street parking for multiple cars.

Smoke free, pet and family friendly with free Wi-Fi throughout.

Each guest is provided with a set of fluffy towels, including hot tub towels. Hand towels and tea towels are also provided along with washing up essentials, soap, shampoo, conditioner and body wash.

Laundry facilities are included - washer drier, airers, iron and ironing board.

A starter amount of wood, paper, kindling and matches for the wood burner are also included.

Young family friendly - travel cots, highchairs and 'tall' chairs are available on request. Stair gates and fire guard available and can also be fitted in advance on request. Bedrooms can accommodate travel cots but check with us prior to arrival as furniture needs to be rearranged to create the space.

Dog friendly – Well behaved dogs are more than welcome but please let us know if there will be more than two. There is a £10 total charge for pets. We ask that they don’t go on beds or soft furnishings out of consideration for our other guests. Stair gates and fire guard available and can be fitted in advance upon request. Be warned that there are some fearless rabbits which live locally and often nibble at the grass, and the garden is not enclosed.

Lots of well thought out extras can be found - rainy day games, books, local maps, beach boules, bodyboards, buckets and different sized spades available.

We also provide a small amount of cooking oil, salt, pepper and mixed herbs to start you off and help reduce wastage.

To help limit our impact on the environment we are considering our everyday choices. It’s a work in progress. Here are some of the small changes we have made to date:

Where we can we provide locally sourced products
- Refillable glass milk bottle.
- Fairtrade biodegradable teabags.
- The wood provided for the log burners is sustainably sourced from a local supplier.
- Tasty treats found in the welcome basket are as locally sourced as possible, with most coming from Pembrokeshire based producers.

We use sustainably sourced toilet roll from an ethical provider. There is no plastic packaging and they donate a percentage of their profits to help build toilets for those in need.

Wales is hoping to become a zero-waste nation by 2050, and we wish to support this. We would appreciate it if you can help us by recycling as much as possible in the clearly labelled bins provided.

Refills for: hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, washing up liquid, laundry powder and cooking oil.

Reusable cleaning cloths for our guests and staff.
Our prices include all fees. No hidden fees.

About the host

Host profile image

We are travel lovers who returned to Wales with our young family, after having spent a few years working and travelling abroad. We live locally and try to discover as much of our area as we can. We respect your privacy, but also enjoy meeting new people and hearing their stories.

Why they chose this property

Pembrokeshire is filled with light and magic. It's an easy place to relax and make memories, even if the weather isn't dry and sunny!

The houses are in a fantastic location steps from the beach, coastal path and pub! There is also a farm shop at the other end of the village.

There are lots of beaches and villages nearby to visit and explore. There are independant shops, restaurants and places to visit within this area too.

What makes this property unique

This is a real home away from home. Both of our properties are full of character and yet calming and restful.

The houses are beautiful and ergonomic. We've thought about it so that the things you need are to hand as you need them, rather than as an afterthought.

We pride ourselves on our high standards hygiene and attention to detail.

We try to think of ways to help your stay go without a hitch from cooking in the kitchen to providing water bowls for your pooches. We contact you upon booking to check that everything is correct with your booking so we all know what to expect. So that if there was a glitch in the system we catch it early. So that if there is a change in your plans we can adjust quickly.

We set expectations- let you know what we provide, ask if you need any help with any recommendations locally. We give you space, but are on hand if you need us.
