The apartment has some definite positives. The location in Eixample is excellent, there is plenty of space across the three bedrooms, and communication with the host was very good throughout. We were a group of four staying for a full week, so our comments are based on an extended stay. However, we were disappointed overall because the apartment didn’t quite live up to the impression created by the listing. It is described as spacious, well-equipped and comfortable, with “everything you need” for your stay, but in reality we found it quite basic. There is very little storage or drawer space, the amenities are fairly minimal, and parts of the interior are starting to feel tired, including peeling/marked mirrors. The patio/terrace was also quite tired and did not feel well maintained. The pillows are thin and basic, while the beds were uncomfortable and particularly creaky. This was especially disappointing given the description of the bedrooms as ideal for a good night’s rest.None of these things individually would necessarily be a major issue, and the apartment itself isn’t bad. The main issue is that the overall standard felt more basic than the listing led us to expect, particularly over a full week. With some investment in the beds, bedding, storage, amenities and general upkeep, it could much better match the standard suggested by the listing. The location and host communication were excellent, but overall we left the property feeling it could’ve been better.
