cosy, private cottage close to sea and mountains

Kingfisher cottage is is a cosy, well-furnished, comfortable cottage which is very conveniently located a short drive from both the mountains and the sea. It is private, clean, well-equipped and has a good bed and an efficient wood-burning stove. Perfect bolt hole.

Die Lage des Hauses ist schön ruhig gelegen.Leider war der Zustand der Unterkunft nicht gut. Haken und Handtuchstangen fielen fast von den Wänden, die Spüle hatte keinen Verschluss, die Betten/ Matratzen sind durchgelegen und waren definitiv nicht frisch bezogen! Das Geschirr und die Töpfe waren teilweise dreckig. Staub wurde sicherlich auch länger nicht gewischt... Überall gab es Duftstäbchen, die wohl gegen den Muff von Feuchtigkeit helfen sollte. Diese Punkte führen dazu, dass ich leider keine gute Bewertung abgeben kann. Ansonsten ist das Haus wunderschön gelegen und nett eingerichtet. Wäre es sauber gewesen und nicht so vernachlässigt, hätte ich mich sicherlich wohler gefühlt.

Fly Fishing Heaven

The cottage at Cashel is the perfect base for fly fishing in and around Connemara. It is atmospheric, comfortable and has welcoming neighbours. It was a joy to come “home” every day after fishing Ballynahinch and Lough Inagh.

Absolutely great

This cottage is excellent for getting some peace and quiet and to relax your mind. The surrounding landscape is beautiful. The cottage had everything we needed and was decorated in a very pleasant way. There are lots of great walks and drives within an hour's drive away. We certainly enjoyed our stay there and will be very happy to return some day.
