We have not seen an owner or caretaker in the week we stayed here.

We have not seen an owner or caretaker in the week we stayed here. Only a telephone number. Rather impersonal. The cottage is well equipped and secluded. Nice garden. Bur the place is rather difficult to find as the directions which were given were very uncertain.
