Modern Spacious Villa 15 minutes walk to the centre of Brantome

Set on the edge of one of the most beautiful villages in the Dordogne, Brantome. The modern villa is fully equipped and furnished to a high standard and retains the charm of the local Perigord style. The house is set around 2 courtyards within a small private development. There is an underground car park with designated parking space to keep your car cool during the summer months. Our guests can enjoy the relaxing atmosphere of the parkland in which the villa is set.

There are 2 supermarkets within 500 meters. A 15 minute walk into the centre of Brantome, you will find plenty of shops including a boulangerie, charcuterie, post office, restaurants, bars, several artists workshops/galleries and a weekly market. The town centre is a must to visit as it is encircled by the river Drone, you can enjoy a river tour or for those feeling more energetic you can hire canoes. The town also boasts an Abbey and pretty cobbled streets.

The house is well equipped with all utensils if you wish to cook. We provide Wifi with a VPN so you can catch up on those missed movies or if you need to send those last minute important work emails.

Lovely holiday home in the Périgord!

This is a wonderful holiday home - so well equipped and with a welcome pack which makes all the difference when you arrive - feels so comfortable and relaxing! Unfortunately the heatwave was difficult for us, so thank goodness the house was so lovely. The town is very pretty with great restaurants in a beautiful countryside setting. Thank you Ann for all your generosity in making your home so inviting!

Well appointed ,very clean comfortable Gite . The welcome basket was a lovely touch and very useful .A easy walk into Brantome . The Gite is in quiet attractive park land with a small well kept swimming pool . Lots to do and see in that area of France . Brantome is old interesting town . We would certainly use Gite Olivier again without doubt .

A tranquil haven on the edge of beautiful Brantome!

We had a peaceful, fun and relaxing stay in Olivier. The accommodation was clean and very well equipped. A real ‘home away from home’. We loved eating outside on the patio area and playing pétanque in the gardens. Our host Ann was very helpful when we had a query, thank you! We enjoyed several activities nearby including canoeing, boat and cave trips, markets and many lovely meals out. (I just wanted to add a suggestion. It was extremely hot when we visited and it would have been amazing to have air conditioning in the bedrooms.)

schöner Aufenthalt in Brantôme

Das Objekt selbst war so, wie wir es uns aufgrund der Anzeige vorgestelllt hatten. Es ist komfortabel ausgestattet und ausreichend groß, dass man es dort auch bei 4 Tagen ziemlich schlechtem Wetter gut aushalten konnte. Allerdings war ich, da ich entsprechende gesundheitliche Probleme habe, enttäuscht von der starken Abweichung zum Inserat hinsichtlich der tatsächlichen, zu Fuß zu bewältigenden Entfernungen vor Ort. Die Entfernung zur Abtei ist beispielsweise in der Realität über 1 Kilometer größer, als im Inserat angegeben. Für mich war das von Bedeutung, da ich eine Unterkunft gesucht hatte, die tatsächlich zu Fuß "nur einen Katzensprung" vom Zentrum entfernt ist. Die im Inserat genannten ca. 400 Meter wären bei jedem Wetter ideal gewesen.

Peaceful and convenient

Though Olivier is in a complex with other rentals, we were really pleased with how quiet and restful it was. Brantome was too busy with tourists, but we found many other places nearby that were less crowded. The kitchen was well stocked, the patio a delight for evening dining and we were pleased with the ample space and an underground garage that kept our car very cool. Ann has created a little oasis in the countryside where we were able to unwind.

Dans une ambiance cocooning très "british", la propriété "Olivier" vous accueille avec tout le confort idéal pour des vacances reposantes. Un petit déjeuner sur la terrasse couverte ou un "tea time" au salon de jardin, le site est entouré de verdure, à l’abri des autres locations et vous profitez du calme. A pieds ou en voiture, le centre de Brantôme n'est pas loin ! Une location idéale pour se reposer est visiter cette belle région du Perigord

Beautiful house in a peaceful location

The house is immaculate and has absolutely everything you could need for a relaxing comfortable holiday. Just a short walk from the lovely village of Brantome, and there is an Aldi and Carrefour both literally minutes away. Extremely quiet location with a lovely outlook. The owner is very helpful and lovely to communicate with.

North Perigord Gem

Situated on the outskirts of Brantome and within a short walk to the town and a couple of supermarkets, Olivier is a modern spacious villa in a group of converted farm buildings in a quiet location. The villa is clean and bright and is well equiped for self catering with a proper kitchen and ample crockery and utensils. Comfortable beds and furnishings and also English TV is available along with the essential WiFi. All in all a great villa for a relaxing vacation.

Comfortable stay in this lovely gite

Our family of 4 plus 15 month old child had a very comfortable stay in this lovely gite. It is situated fairly equidistant from all the towns of the Périgord area which we enjoyed visiting. The gite itself is well equipped with everything you need and has good quality furniture and fittings. There is a lovely dining area outside where we had several meals during the warm summer evenings including barbecues. We also enjoyed walks to and from the lovely town of Brantome via the tracks and grassy paths. You can buy some lovely food in the shops or at the market and the supermarkets are a brief car journey from the gite. Overall we had a very enjoyable holiday and would return to this lovely gite.

I fell in love with Brantome when I first visited some years ago, Its a place you never forget. So when in 2012 the opportunity arose to purchase a house there i could not resist it. I have spent many happy holidays in Brantome with family and friends and the magic is still there! It is my pleasure to share this experience with you, I am sure you will not be disappointed.
