Bordighera, also known as The Pearl of the Riviera, thanks to its mild climate is the perfect destination for both a weekend getaway and a long stay at any time of the year. This locality is nestled between the famous city of Sanremo and the French Côte d'Azur. From here it is possible to enjoy the sea and beach, visit the Principality of Monaco, the nearby French cities of Menton, and also visit the fascinating villages of the Ligurian hinterland. Points of interest in the town are the small church of Sant'Ampelio, the southernmost point of Liguria, and the old town, at the highest point of the city, characterised by walls and medieval alleyways. Bordighera is enriched by splendid Art Nouveau architecture, once the residences of royalty and high aristocracy, such as Villa Etelinda, Villa Garnier, Villa Margherita and the Pallanca exotic garden. Finally, it is recommended not to leave without having tasted the typical dishes based on the freshest fish and a glass of Rossese di Dolceacqua.
Bordighera is easily reachable from Nice airport (55 km) and from Genoa airport (150 km).
