Fantastic rustic house in a great location. We enjoyed a very peaceful stay. There are great places to visit locally, but above all, we enjoyed ambling in to Barga. Fireflies every evening and bread van every morning were a highlight! Lots of options for eating out and a bbq for evenings in. Perfect for us.

The photos do not do the setting of this charming property justice. It sits on an outcrop behind the wonderful walled town of Barga enjoying 360 degree views. The thick walls of the building keep the temperature reasonable and the house has all the needed amenities. With the vibrant town just minutes away and so many beautiful hidden towns in the area there is more to do that we could possibly fit in. Oh, and the food and wine…

Beautiful location, clean with a great host

Just minutes from dolomites national Park and the view of the mountains right from the property. Host was kind and attentive. We had a great stay thank you

I'm delighted you had a good stay! I think you might have meant the Apuan Alps national park rather than the Dolomites but I agree the view of the mountains is one of my favourite things about the house!

This beautiful farmhouse just outside of Barga was such a delightful place! Only about a kilometer from town my husband and I walked to town in the morning for coffee. At night we could see the sunset behind the Duomo in the village. Pictures of the property did not do it justice! We stayed here for a month and enjoyed every minute of it. Peaceful and beautiful. I can’t say enough good things about our stay.

Peaceful and relaxing

Set out on a ridge with far reaching views across to the mountains but close enough to Barga to walk in for a late afternoon gelato.

A peaceful and beautiful rustic house

I looked carefully for a spacious rural property with the right combination of rooms for a group of friends, walking distance from a small town as we didn’t have a car, this was exactly what I wanted. A peaceful and beautiful rustic house a short walk from delightful Barga with shops, restaurants and art galleries. Thank you, it was the perfect spot to relax for a few days.

The house is ideally situated for those who enjoy a quiet time away from the city. The walk to the town takes about 20 minutes and is lovely. It will only take you 5 minutes by car.The house itself has all the equipment and amenities you could wish you'd have. It is very spacious and makes you feel like you're at home. The host is always ready to help and really quick to answer any request you might have. The area is great as Barga has all the shops, restaurants and bars you'll need. The scenery around the place is breathtaking. We had a brilliant stay.

authentic house in the country side with a gorgeous view yet near Barga

simply perfect! we were looking for a quiet place immersed in the countryside with a large garden for a couple of weeks with lots of children, and not too far from coty. this charming house more than filled this difficult bill. the host is marvelously kind and helpful and easy to discuss with. the house is very authentic yet comfortable and very practical. the view is stunning on both side of the ridge.

Gorgeous location.

Situated about 25 minutes walk from the local town, the house offers a lovely combination of peace and serenity whilst still having walkable access to local shops, plenty of restaurants and delightful walks. The house was beautifully clean and the rooms are very spacious. We are 2 parents and 4 teenagers and there was ample room for everyone to find their own space. We particularly enjoyed evenings playing cards on the terrace under the wisteria and watching the sunset with a few drinks! Barga has a good range of restaurants and supermarkets. The owner, Carol, was very helpful when we had problems with our car and we definitely highly recommend both the property and Carol as the owner.

An unforgettable Tuscan escape! This charming farmhouse offers a truly authentic experience, steeped in history and full of character. Thoughtfully designed and exceptionally comfortable, it’s ideal for families—especially with a rare and practical feature: a bathroom on each floor. The spacious, lush garden was a paradise for our children, who spent hours playing outdoors. The host was outstanding—gracious, responsive, and attentive to every request. Her care and ease made our stay feel seamless and warmly welcomed. And the location? Simply breathtaking. Nestled in serene countryside with panoramic views on both sides of the ridge, yet just a short walk from a delightful town brimming with restaurants, shops, and cultural gems. It’s the perfect balance of tranquility and convenience.A true gem in every sense—we can’t wait to return.

Prachtige locatie

Fijne accomodatie op een prachtige plek. Uitzicht is geweldig!

I am delighted that you enjoyed your stay and found the place beautiful and the beds comfortable (comfortable mattresses are very important!). I'm very sorry to hear about the cobwebs and particularly about the dirty crockery - this is not our usual level of service, and I will speak to our housekeeper about it. Thank you again for taking the time to review!

Tolle Unterkunft
