The Plaza de Castilla is a large square located north of Madrid. It has two of the tallest structures in Madrid, which are its main attraction: the pair of buildings called Puerta de Europa, over 100 meters tall and almost 30 floors, also colloquially known as Torres KIO. Each of these towers is inclined 15º with respect to the vertical. In the Plaza de Castilla is the Obelisk of Caja Madrid, a golden column by Santiago Calatrava and donated by the entity to Madrid on the occasion of the celebration of its tercentenary.
