Great stay, but.....

Overall a lovely stay ay Tehidy lodge - great location, excellent nearby beach and pubs (Unicorn was fantastic!) BUT... the property is clearly in need of renovation and a fix up (back door handle coming off, cooker controls rubbed off, hot tub area needs a clean, hot tub cover broken). Wonder if the fact it's clearly for sale has something to do with it.....?

On first arriving the place was hard to find. But once found it was in a great spot about 5 mins walk to Porthtowan beach. You can hire surf boards and wet suits there. My mum finds it hard to walk so we needed to drive her up and down the hill. The place its self has a wonderful hot tub was very clean and we had all the essentials we needed. A very nice gesture was scones clotted cream and jam, tea bags and coffee which was very nice. I kept on asking about how we pick up the key but only heard from the third part Sykes cottages a few days before so this did make me panic. The neighbours next door drove me mad by getting in their hot tub at 7 am and waking us up. Other than that the place was lovely and would def think about going back.
