In the heart of a sunny area, where harmony between the rural environment and modern comforts come together to create a unique Rural Tourism experience, welcome to Casas da Luz!



This enterprise is an oasis of tranquillity, situated in a stunning setting that offers a spectacular view over the sea and the majestic surrounding mountains.



It is estimated that the main house of this enterprise was built in the nineteenth century, around the year 1880, and underwent reconstruction works in 1934. In the 1970s, the house was acquired by Agostinha da Luz and three generations of this family have grown up there to the present day. It is in homage to this matriarch that the name Casas da Luz arises.



Between 2020 and 2023, this space of memories and tradition composed of the main house and the annexed buildings underwent requalification and expansion works, with special care taken in the conservation of the various elements that characterise traditional Madeiran houses, including the stone walls and the wine press, where wine is still produced annually.



Divided into three welcoming units, each designed to provide maximum comfort and privacy: the Casa da Mãe, divided over two floors, offers three spacious bedrooms; the Casa da Latada located on the upper floor comprises two bedrooms and the Casa da Pedreira, located on the ground floor, has a large bedroom.



In the Casa da Latada you will find a fantastic 2-bedroom apartment, remodelled and furnished with contemporary taste whilst safeguarding the excellent materials present from its origins.

The accommodation has a comfortable living room and an equipped kitchen, in an "open space" layout. Also outside, in addition to enjoying the veranda with a view over the Atlantic Ocean, you can also enjoy a private barbecue.



You will also be treated to an infinity pool, the perfect place to relax, cool off and enjoy a leisurely swim whilst appreciating the stunning view that only Casas da Luz can offer!



For culinary enthusiasts, we offer a small vegetable plantation and fruit trees to make your meals even more special. Feel at home and pick the freshest, healthiest and seasonal produce and incorporate it into your recipes.



Your days can start in the best way! At the accommodation, we leave at your disposal all the products and ingredients necessary to prepare your own little breakfast, including a selection of local products. Thus, you can prepare it to your taste, at your own pace and enjoy a truly special morning.



To make your stay even more comfortable, we provide, upon request, an additional cleaning service.



Furthermore, all our common areas will be cleaned daily, providing you with an immaculate and pleasant environment.

Guests are responsible for the proper use of the accommodation and its respective equipment. Damage, loss or misuse identified during or after the stay may be subject to the application of a damage fee, intended to cover repair, replacement or extraordinary cleaning costs.
