About this property

Large 17th Century farmhouse with inglenook fireplace and heated indoor pool

Cilpost Farmhouse is the perfect place for family and friends to gather together to celebrate or simply catch up.

With nine good sized bedrooms (five of which are en suite) and two dining rooms, we can comfortably accommodate groups of up to 24 plus two babies (in travel cots). There is a large lounge with a stunning inglenook fireplace and wood burning stove, which we can light for you if required. There is also a separate living room with smart TV and a playroom for the kids. The large fully equipped kitchen has a dining table and sofa, so families can chat over a glass of wine while they cook up a storm. There are two dining rooms, one large enough to seat 20+ and the other six, so everyone can eat together. And the two dishwashers ensure that washing up doesn't get in the way of you enjoying your time together.

Outside the house, there is an indoor heated swimming pool, which is warm enough to enjoy whatever the weather. In a separate converted barn is the games room, with table tennis, pool and ice hocket for a post dinner tournament. Alternatively, walk around the grounds and down through the private woods to the stream at the bottom.

Cilpost Farmhouse is about 10 minutes drive from the A40, which is perfect to make it easily accessible while being far enough away to enjoy total peace and tranquility. Less than 1/2 hour to beautiful beaches and Tenby.

The property exceeded our expectations & we made use of all it had to offer, the games room, the pool, the garden, the spacious house & even the animal treasure hunt. An excellent property for a large family gathering or friends/family celebration. The house boasts multiple bathrooms and en suits, as well as a lovely swimming pool and games room. The garden merges into magical woodland with paths mowed through to a stream - a peaceful haven or beautiful setting for evening drinks! Really something here for all ages!The owners, Royston and Jan, live next door and are always on hand to help with any problems but they go above and beyond to make sure you leave feeling you have had a very special experience of Pembrokeshire countryside and hospitality. This was our first time in this beautiful part of the UK, and we certainly plan to return.

The farmhouse was fabulous and full of character. We spent a lot of time in the lovely big farmhouse kitchen which had absolutely everything we needed. Everyone loved the pool which was beautifully warm and had lots of inflatables to play with. There was also plenty to do in the games room. Lots of toys and books for the children in the playroom. Loads of books too for the grown-ups. The bedrooms were bright and freshly decorated with co-ordinated bedding. We only managed to get out into the grounds on the first day because of the weather but the views over the surrounding countryside were stunning. There is also a little wood to wander through leading to a stream. The kids enjoyed searching for the animal clues that Jo had placed around the grounds. Whitland (a couple of miles drive away) boasted a Co-op, and a couple of takeaways so even though we brought a humongous amount of food and drink with us, we could have bought it all locally. All 21 of us had a fabulous weekend break and will definitely be returning to this wonderful place in the future.

Fantastic venue

Facilities amazing we didnt need to go anywhere the property had everything we needed. Pool was a favourite & perfect for the children even the baby . Games room was a hit & had everything you needed in it . We were impressed by the provisions provided by the hosts from toiletries to condiments. The grounds were beautiful too . Finally Royston was very friendly & helpful he couldn’t do enough for us if we needed him we just needed to ask . We will definitely return thanks for a great holiday ! Linda, Barry & family

We had an absolutely amazing stay at this large 17th century farmhouse in Wales. The house was perfect for our big family group of 6 families, with guests of all ages, and everyone loved it. We stayed for 2 days and honestly we are still talking about how wonderful the house was.The location is beautiful, with stunning views and peaceful surroundings, making it the perfect place for a family getaway. The house itself is full of character and charm, especially the lovely inglenook fireplace which made the atmosphere so warm and cosy.One of the best features of the house was definitely the heated indoor pool. Both the children and adults enjoyed it so much, and it made our stay extra special. It was clean, well maintained, and a fantastic facility to have all to ourselves.The hosts were an amazing couple living nearby, and they were so kind, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. Anything we needed, they were always there to help with a smile. Their hospitality really made a difference.The house was spacious, comfortable, and ideal for a large group like ours. It is not easy to find somewhere that suits so many people of different ages, but this house was perfect in every way.Thank you so much for such a memorable stay.
