It's wonderful to hear that you had such a positive experience with this vacation rental. It's good to know that even though there was no air conditioning, you were able to make use of the fans and open windows to stay comfortable. John, glad your stay was pleasant and look forward to have you back. For future guests, roosters are protected and roam around everywhere on Kauai. So, regardless of the location of accommodations, roosters can be heard anywhere on Kauai and by most considered part of Kauai's cultural identity, state bird, and by some, a bit of a nuisance. In case this should be source of discomfort for our guests, as suggested, the villa has a portable Honeywell air filter that can generate varying levels of white noise. Another handy alternative is "Simply Noise" App for your smart phone which can be downloaded from ITunes App Store or from Google Play, and one can take it anywhere they go. I also plan on placing a second white noise source in the villa for our guests' convenience. In six years of ownership, this is the first time one of our guests made a point about the rooster wakeup calls. Guest comfort is very important for us and we will do everything in our control.
