Get away from it all in this traditional wood cabin in the hills of Tennessee. Peace and quiet above the historic town of Granville, on Cordell Hull Lake. Great views across “them thar hills” from the wrap around porch. Located an hour east of Nashville this a great base from which to explore and enjoy Middle Tennessee. Step back in time when you walk through the door into mid-century America. Drink coffee in a kitchen straight out of the 1950s. This cozy cabin was well kept and decorated, it was truly like going back in time. I loved the little loft upstairs and the living room. Hosts were both kind and responsive. Moreover, Granville itself it a great place to visit, so will be coming back to stay here next time I can visit.
This place was quaint, clean and quiet. Nestled back in the hills away from town. The old time theme is well done. The hosts did great with explaining how things worked. My grandma really loved our stay.
We absolutely loved the cabin and cannot wait to go back! It was the cleanest VRBO we have stayed in for a lobg time. Well stocked and such a peaceful retreat! We will hopefully co.e back soon
Beautiful views, loved the cabin decor. Even though I loved the decor, not everything needs to be from the past. New beds, couch and a chair that doesn’t flip over would be amazing! Due to a very bad back we only wound up staying one night.

The whole point of the cabin is that it is authentic 1950s not a generic "Smoky Mountains" cabin. The beds are vintage but the mattresses are new. The furniture is period Wagon Wheel. It is what it is. Of all the hundreds of guests that have stayed at the cabin flipping the chair over is a new one on me! Maybe a more corporate experience would suit this guest better.
This retreat back in the holler was undeniably peaceful and pleasant. Owner's of the property are friendly, kind, and respectful. The stay is very old-timey and an excellent place to reset and relax. The road to the property is loose gravel, our FWD prius made it with no issues but during wet or snowy conditions consider taking an AWD or 4X4.
The think that stuck me the most was how clean the cabin was! It was immaculate in every sense. The beds are comfy and so is the living areas! Total recommend!
Very restful and comfortable stay. It was perfect for our relaxing getaway. We enjoyed the nearby attractions..... Mayberry of TN, Burgess Falls State Park and the Wildwood Marina.
We enjoyed the retro 50's decorating of the cabin. Very unique and interesting. A lot of thought went into it! The porch & porch swing were awesome! The road coming up was the only drawback, very steep & scary for a small car like ours. Everything we needed was there.
Everything was perfect. It brought back some fond memories to use some of the old appliances. Paul was a very gracious host and easy to communicate with. The location was beautiful and very relaxing. We will definitely be back!
It was a beautiful cottage. Every part of the house was filled with retro things. We enjoyed every minute of our stay in this house. The owner of the house obviously cares a lot about his guests, as there was everything necessary for a stay. Future guests should note that the access road to the house is quite difficult because of the high slope and small stones.
