Veronique and family are welcome to stay at my place anytime! Veronique took care of my condo as if it were her own. The housecleaners sent me a special message informing me that Veronique had left the place just as she had found it! Communication was outstanding and a few neighbors even shared how delightful and respectful my tenants were. I am so glad you were able to enjoy the beach and felt at home in the condo. Thank for the kind words and compliment about the unit being well stocked and beautifully decorated. I appreciate that you left the unit clean. As outlined in the listing, our complex is small (50 units) and quiet. We don't rent to families with very young children as the unit is not equipped. However, until your stay, we have never had an issue with older children. We have wonderful neighbors, some of whom have been our friends for 30+ years. They also have become friends with some of our past tenants whom we no longer even have contact with. One of our yearly snowbird tenants has made friends in the complex and they socialize during their stay. Our neighbors do not have a problem with the fact that we rent our unit, simply because we don't run a revolving door type of rental. Given that we do not live in the unit, we are blessed that our neighbors/friends look after our rental unit and our tenants as well. We were grateful that upon your arrival we were contacted and informed that your child was riding a scooter in the common area sidewalks. It was better for everyone that this was dealt with sooner rather than later, when yes, there may have been fines (there are always warnings first). As a result, I was able to contact you immediately and encourage you to review the rules with your children, which you indicated that you would be doing. We appreciate learning when our occupancy agreement has been exceeded and if our unit is being used to entertain excessively large groups of guests. When staying at someone else's home, it is well-mannered to follow the rules which require reviewing said rules in advance. For example: it isn't just the common area that toys and blight is of concern, but also on the individual condo unit decks. This is typical standard multi-family living and exists as a courtesy for others. Given that the complex is small and quiet it is not conducive for families with children who struggle with following the rules. Condo living is not like living in a single family dwelling. Per our property manager, the pool was closed for 2.5 of your 9 day stay, because the pump was being replaced. Although out of my control, I apologized and in good faith refunded monies based on what the cost of using a public pool for each member in your family would have cost for three days. Unfortunately, I too agree that your stay was less than ideal. I don't know what I could do differently. I learned some things and I hope you did too.
