About this property

Bridge Cottage, Hawes

Bridge Cottage is a sweet dog friendly, Yorkshire stone built cottage with accommodation for up to four guests. Located in the centre of the pretty town of Hawes, perfect for lots of local attractions, yet tucked away off the cobbled main street, making for the perfect base to explore much of the Yorkshire Dales National Park.

The cottage has been lovingly renovated to provide comfortable and convenient holiday accommodation. There is a lovely dining room adjoining the cosy sitting room for guests to relax in after a meal enjoyed with family or friends. There is even a small work desk and seat in the window. So there is plenty of space for everyone to socialise together or to relax in a quiet corner with a book. The kitchen is well-equipped, the beds are generous, and the family shower room has a larger than average walk in shower plus there is the added benefit of the ground floor cloakroom with WC.

Once guests have planned their itinerary for the week they can step outside and wander around Hawes, or better still enjoy the good variety of walks through the beautiful local countryside.

Hawes itself is a lively, but small market town. Within it you will find a family butcher and baker, a good few pubs serving a wide selection of meals, two well-stocked small supermarkets, you can even enjoy a ‘Chippy Tea' at the sought-after fish and chip shop at the top end of town. There is also a museum, Wensleydale Cheese Visitors Centre, a playground and a good variety of gift and walking shops.

Additional Information:
A small supply of logs is provided to get you started.
