As always, great place to stay, good communication
Great place close to Louisville, but still just far enough to feel like a good getaway. The space is great, good AC and plenty of beds and the community pool just 50ft away is a great bonus. We always enjoy our stay!

Cozy & Clean
Kitchen was well equipped, whole house was super clean & very spacious for our group of eight. Everyone had their own bed. We enjoyed the hot tub. Very fun weekend & cozy experience overall!
Great location so close to Taylorsville Lake Marina. Liked that it had secured entry and parking for my boat trailer. Centrally located between Louisville and Bardstown
There were 4 couples and one child and it was great for what we needed! Kitchen was amply stocked. Plenty of bedrooms and places to spread out. Hot tub was nice and video games were a hit.
The property certainly fit our needs. Only two things I would say caused a little inconvenience; no bathroom down stairs where there are 2 bedrooms and no shower/sink in the upstairs bedroom (master)???
The cottage was so beautiful and clean and beds were so comfortable. We took 3 families and we had tons of room. Cottage is right next to the pool. We also rented a boat which was great. Cliff was super nice.

Great house, great host
This is a great house just far enough away from Louisville, but still close enough to be convenient. The lake's marina is 2 minutes away, the neighborhood pool a minute's walk. The house itself is spacious, clean and appliances up to date. Great table for playing games, lots of space to socialize. Good AC, water pressure, and comfortable beds.
This is our 2nd year in a row staying here with a group of 8 friends and we'll be back!
Beautiful home, plenty of room for 10 adults. Shuffleboard table on the deck was lots of fun! Owner was easy to work with and was quick to respond when there were a few minor issues during our stay. Beds were comfortable -- even the twin bed that 2 adults shared because there wasn't a full or queen bed in one of the rooms. However, overall, this was a wonderful property that I'd recommend. Only drawback was the open bathroom concept in the master bedroom -- spa tub was unusable for showering before the wedding we were all attending haha
Was a great house for our family get together of 11 adults. Plenty of common space on the first level and the kitchen table was easily able to seat 8 people for meals and games. The arcade gaming system in the basement was a lot of fun with 100's of vintage games. The hot tub worked well and was enjoyable even in the rain as it is protected by the deck overhead. Good sleeping arrangements. As mentioned in other reviews - there is no bathroom on the walk-out basement level which may not be the most convenient for the 6 people sleeping on that level. Location was quite good and the resort was quiet with perfect access to plenty of hiking/walking trails.
First off we tried to contact the owner by email and phone call before the visit and no response.
We arrived at the property looked around and at first glance it looked ok. Started opening drawers and found mouse droppings, had to wash all of the dishes before we could use them. Opened the hot tub and found slime around the side. Windows were full of spiders and you couldn’t see out of them they were so dirty. Closed the bathroom door and the cleaning person forgot to clean back there.
Tried to use the grill that was on the back deck and it didn’t get hot enough to cook our food so we had to take it off the grill and inside to a pan.
Time for bed. My daughter pulled the sheets down and there was blood on the sheets not only down stairs but in the upstairs bedrooms also.
Tried to put towels in the dryer to dry them and the door was broken, would not close!
Couldn’t close the dryer and the washer door wouldn’t open.
Overall it was a nice house if someone would take care of it and clean it and for sure check it out before renting it out.
Nice family weekend but BB couldn’t wait to get out of that nasty house. Thank goodness we didn’t have any real issues because the renter never returned our email or phoned us back.
Overpriced for sure!!!
We enjoyed this nice home over Thanksgiving. The bedroom/bed situation was well suited for our family of 9 (even though there was no bath on the lower level). Having linens & towels supplied was really helpful too. The kitchen space was great and the equipment was adequate (most food was made prior to coming) but an 8 qt stock pot would help for cooking pasta, etc. We enjoyed the privacy of the location and had a lovely hike on the trail down to the lake on thanksgiving morning.
Overall, a nice home for our holiday.
Perfect central location for Derby and Bourbon Trail
My husband and I shared this house with another couple for a bourbon and Kentucky Derby trip. Location was perfect. The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful even though there were other Derby revealers at houses across the street. The community pool is very close to this house - could make for some noise if kids were around but it was still closed when we stayed so can’t say if that would be bothersome. The house is nice and comfortable - not sparkling clean but decent. Beds were comfy and there was great plenty lounging/sitting space in the common areas for us. The property a manager was very easy to reach and check in and out were both super easy.
The house is good size for 10 people. Most of the amenities are the same as website described. We have a wonderful time there. Few things needs to improve:
DVD player needs a HDMI cable.
A few light bulbs were dead.
Fireplace didn’t work
Arcade machines shoot button doesn’t work
Great central location for Bourbon Trail. This property had everything we wanted and needed for 4 couples to enjoy our stay

A/C Problems, Dirty Decks
The location of this property is really convenient. The little town of Taylorsville is close and has plenty of amenities. The pool is right next door and the lake views, not from this house, but up and down the road are very pretty. It had plenty of room for all of us. Now the problems. When we arrived the glass front door closing mechanism was off and the door was wide open and could not be closed....not the wood door. A trundle bed was broken and the upper bunk box spring had material hanging down toward the lower bunk. The outside decks were filthy. The one off of the kitchen area had a board that had warped and was lifted an inch or so on one end. No one would want to go out there. I contacted Cliff the property manager and he did have the maintenance crew out the next day to repair and clear all of the above to our satisfaction. However the deck on the ground level did not get cleaned and it was really bad with spider webs and dead leaves and just dirty. Like someone else mentioned, it seems a little strange that there is no bathroom on the bottom floor, but that certainly is not property management issue.
Now for our main problem. The A/C. The bottom floor was very cool, I am not sure what the temp was down there. The main floor....Kitchen, living room, 2 bathrooms and 2 bedrooms was hot. It never got below 78 on the thermostat on this floor. Upstairs is a bedroom with a bathroom. This room was unbearable. Cliff sent someone to change the filter the on the AC. That did nothing to help. The A/C unit froze up several times and we were asked to turn the A/C off until it thawed. This we did twice and the unit froze up again. This problem was not addressed for us. Cliff said the unit was new and was just replace a few weeks back. He did offer to send the A/C repair co but at 5pm the repair co. still had 3 calls to make, so I declined for that evening. The next morning we were leaving.
We did enjoy our stay. Thankfully we were gone during the hottest part of the days that we were there.
