PET POLICY:
We welcome well-behaved pets at our property! To ensure a clean and comfortable experience for everyone, please note the following:

Pet Fee: A non-refundable pet fee of $100 per stay will be charged. (MAX 2 PETS)

Approval Required: All pets must be disclosed and approved prior to check-in. Unauthorized pets will result in an additional $250 fee per pet.

Cleanliness: Guests are responsible for cleaning up after their pets. (Indoor and Outdoor)

Any excessive messes (fur, stains, odor, etc.) or failure to clean up waste (indoors or outdoors) will result in additional cleaning charges starting at $100.

Furniture & Bedding: Pets are not allowed on beds or furniture unless covered with pet blankets (not provided).

Crating Recommended: If your pet will be left alone in the home, crating is encouraged for their safety and to prevent damage.

Check-out instructions

The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Load and start the dishwasher
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
Place all used towels near the washer/dryer. If you're able & willing to start a load, we would really appreciate it as this is what takes our cleaners the longest (waiting for the washer/dryer)
Bedrooms: - Please leave used beds unmade - You do not have to strip them
If you used the corn hole boards, can you please make sure they are put away in the garage to keep them in good condition?
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Dogs allowed ($100 per stay- Max 2) No pets on beds or furniture without pet blanket. Clean up required. Extra fees for mess or unauthorized pets.

Enjoyed Bourbon Barrel. It is located just off the main highway and centrally located between Louisville and Frankfort. This was the perfect base for our Bourbon Tours and was very comfortable and clean!

Great house

Stayed for the weekend while doing bourbon tours. Great location and great house. Close enough to 64 to get into Louisville but without the craziness of the city. Would recommend. Very spacious and comfortable house!

Comfortable just like home!!

All aspects were very good, clean, fresh and comfy. The hosts were very responsive to our requests, all areas looked new. We loved the cozy couch and decor. We didn't get to play pool but it was great to have that option. Area was quiet and safe, and not too far from where we needed to go. Great restaurants close by. Great stay for a large family or several couples. Big bedrooms and common area to hang out.

The property was beautifully designed and well-equipped, providing everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We truly appreciate the thoughtful layout and overall ambience of the home. However there were a few concerns that should be noted. We encountered some insects and spiders inside of home. And the hot tub not adequately cleaned, which unfortunately prevented us from using it. While these issues did not overshadow the overall experience they are worth addressing to ensure an even better stay for future guest. With a bit more attention to cleanliness and maintenance, this home had the potential to be exceptional.

Excellent stay all the way around! We had our family of four (including 2 kids) plus the grandparents. Four roomy bedrooms and 3 bathrooms (1 with full tub) have everyone the space they needed and kept the peace! The kitchen and living room (with the comfiest furniture) were spacious and open. We loved the decor - especially the horse and cow pictures, very tasteful. The hot tub was a plus. The pool table was the biggest hit, by far. The room is actually big enough to play comfortably.There is a nice laundry room if needed. The hosts were very responsive and they answered all questions quickly. Check in was super easy and we found the location central to all the things on our wish list.We visited the Louisville Slugger Museum (Malibu Jack's is a great indoor break for kids also), the ARK Encounter and a trail ride (Whispering Woods in Georgetown). We shopped at the Bluegrass Outlets (shopping and food options with lots of shady places to sit when the guys were tired of it)!
