About this property

CHARMING CAEN STONE HOUSE 150 M FROM THE SEA/WIFI/VELOS

Our house is located in a very quiet street SEA LION, a seaside resort with many assets: 150 meters from the sea, close to shops (pharmacy, restaurants, bar, bakery, newsagent, supermarket, florist, post , etc ...)
No need to drive: the sea, a cycle track will make you reach Ouistreham and Caen safely.
Ideal for family holidays.
Our rental has a large living room on the ground floor with kitchen open to the living / dining room, bathroom and separate WC. Upstairs, two bedrooms: one with a bed of 90 and a bed of 120 (for 2 children) and the second with a bed of 140. Wardrobe and chest of drawers.
A small courtyard will be your terrace: the garage will allow you to store bikes and / or beach equipment, etc ...
We have at heart to welcome you in the best conditions, bed linen and towels are provided.
The location is ideal for your many walks on the coast of Nacre, visiting the landing beaches, museums, close to Thalassotherapy Centre (Luc sur Mer, Ouistreham), Deauville and its boardwalk and its racetracks, the Mont Saint Michel 130 kms only.
In summer many free activities on the beach: During aerobic every morning, children playground, sailing club with organizing courses (sailing, windsurfing, kite surfing, etc ...)
To make the stay more pleasant, we offer rental of city bikes.
Our prices include all fees. No hidden fees.

Perfect home and location to relax and explore the surrounding area. Only inconvenience would be that parking gets tricky if there are events on in the town, expect to drive around for a bit.

A Delightful Stay

The property is ideally located in the centre of the charming town of Lion-sur-Mer just a couple of minutes walk to the seafront and the local restaurants. The house is full of character with a lovely, spacious open plan living area on the ground floor and bedrooms under sloping ceilings upstairs. It is well appointed, spotlessly clean and the hosts are a delight to deal with. It was a pleasure to stay here again.

Quiet, clean; close to sights and the beach

We spent 4 lovely days in greater Normandy, using Lion-sur-Mer as a home base. The beach is a 5-minute walk, if that, and the bakery is 5-minutes in the other direction. The town was quiet because we visited in the off-season, but it is still a lovely, clean and quiet town. We used street parking without incident. This apartment/house is a nice country drive to all of the D Day beaches, just over 90 minutes drive to Mont St-Michel and about 40 to Bayeux. This rental fit our family of 4 just fine but without a lot of extra space. The toilet and shower are in separate bathrooms (on the 1st floor) and are small. The apartment appeared just as shown in the photos. The friendly owner was very responsive by email and text prior to our arrival. (We speak no French; her English is very good.) Note that there is a small extra cleaning fee in Euro and a large cash or check deposit also in Euro. Also, there is a rental contract, in French, but we didn't have any issues.

Ein liebevoll eingerichtetes Kleinod in einer ruhigen Seitenstraße mit direkter Nähe zu Strand, Supermarkt, Bäckerei und hervorragenden Restaurants. Dazu noch sauber, modern und dennoch gemütlich eingerichtet.Problemloses Parken in der Nähe, optimal gelgen für Tagesausflüge in die wundervolle Normandie ... so sehr wir auch überlegen, uns fällt einfach nichts zum kritisieren ein. Und das als Deutsche ;)Danke für diese wundervolle entspannende Woche im wunderschönen Norden Frankreichs.

La location est bien à cette saison .Mer à deux pas commerces à 1 minute à pied. Les musées ne sont pas tous à côté mais c'est facile à s y rendre. Globalement positif.

Wunderschöner Urlaub

Es war eine wunderschöne Woche im Ferienhaus. Es war alles vorhanden was nötig ist und es war sehr sehr sauber. Die Kommunikation ging problemlos und ich habe immer eine schnelle Antwort bekommen. Der Ort ist klein aber fein und der Strand auch super sauber und trotz relativ vielen Menschen überhaupt kein Müll am Strand.

Schöne Unterkunft

Wir waren Mitte Juli 2024 für 1 Woche in der sehr schön eingerichteten und sauberen Unterkunft. 2 Erwachsene, 1 Kind. Die Kommunikation mit der Vermieterin Frau Freger war von Anfang an total freundlich und zuvorkommend. Die Wohnung ist unserer Meinung nach super ausgestattet und hat eine tolle Lage. Zum Strand waren es zu Fuß ca 5 Minuten. Die 2 Schlafzimmer befinden sich im Obergeschoss. In der Garage konnten wir unsere mitgebrachten Fahrräder unterbringen. Parken konnte man allerdings nicht direkt an der Wohnung. Dies war aber überhaupt kein Problem, da ein Parkplatz in der Nähe war. Wir haben uns echt wohlgefühlt in dieser Woche und kommen gerne wieder. Klare Weiterempfehlung und ein Lob an Frau Freger für diese tolle und liebevoll eingerichtete Wohnung.

Magnifique séjour Lion-sur-Mer

Superbe location, très propre, confortable, plage au bout de la rue(1mn à pied), boulangerie, pharmacie, supermarché, centre ville, bref tout à pied ! Tout confort, propriétaires très sympathique ! 😊 Très bon restaurant, La Fabrique, le Goéland. Merci aux propriétaires, nous reviendrons !

Ballade de printemps sur la côte normande

Très bon séjour sur cette côte historique du débarquement de 1944 avec de nombreux sites mémorables pour notre petit-fils toujours très intéressé par l'Histoire de France à certaines périodes. Le logement est idéalement placé par rapport à la plage locale et aux autres lieus historiques mais aussi des commerces de proximité pour des vacanciers. Très forte recommandation pour la découverte de cette région. Cordialement
