Spacious home! The kitchen has all of the utensils necessary to eat in. There's a gas station and convenience store just a short walk away. Luckily we got to view snowfall through the lovely giant windows on Christmas morning 2025!

Nice and Simple

The house is sweet and loved the balcony! I wish the balcony can be clean off with the blower. There were a lot of sand, dirts and dust on the balcony. The house have a lot of dust, some things were not organized, there were no check-in or check-out instructions, there were no back-up trash bags

I love the cabin, but I was disappointed. It wasn’t equipped with pillowcases for your pillow or top sheets for your bed no trash bags for garbage and an invasion of plants but I love the property. I just wish it had all those things that I mentioned because I love the location and I slept well

This cabin was great! We loved the layout to the place. The kids enjoyed the huge loft / bedroom. The sofa bed in the living room area was plus. Proximity to doorabelle picnic area was a short walking distance as was all the locals stores and restaurants in town. Perfect for a small group or family.

Nice stay, close to town

Was a nice place. Comfortable for 6 (2 adults 4 kids 14-17). Comfortable bed in the downstairs bedroom. The kids didn’t complain about theirs so assuming upstairs was comfortable as well. I scrambled when we arrived because there wasn’t a lighter in the house to get the fire going but the heater in the dining room worked well to knock the chill off (bring your own lighter). Bring trash bags and cooking oil if you plan on using the kitchen while staying here. They supply minimal trash bags and they are too small for the trash can in the kitchen. Overall great place to stay and you could walk to town if you wanted

Location was great !

Location was great . One thing that was a little annoying was the tv was so loud on volume 1 if u turn it down u couldnt hear it also the beds could use some new pillows but beside that we enjoyed our stay super cozy and right down the way from town and lake

Has potential

The cabin itself is relatively clean, beds are comfy, sheets and blankets are abundant, towels are plentiful, water pressures are good, appliances work. Upon first impression, it was amazing… But then… slight nuances started to present themselves and shift that initial impression. The top drawer in the kitchen, which holds knives, is broken, no rail guide, no stopper, the drawer pulls all the way out and will fall, which is extremely dangerous. The propane grill on the deck will hold a flame but is not working properly, the flame in the front of the grill is taller than the rest of the grill which makes for uneven cooking. Beneath the grill is an overfilled bowl of grease/oil from the grill, which looks like it has started to flow onto the beautiful deck. On the deck is a nonfunctional folding chair, sunburnt and ripped down the center. The listing stated no ac and no WiFi. I knew that and was more than content not having those amenities. Ample amounts of fans were provided throughout the house. HOWEVER, it was warm and even hot at various times throughout the day. The weather was in the 80s during the day, I cannot imagine being inside if the weather was hotter. The tv in the living room is extremely small, 19 inches, maybe smaller.

Peaceful, comfortable cabin

This home is as described. It was clean, plenty of towels, toiletries, dishes, etc. beautiful wrap around porch with rocking bench❤️Walk to town, boat parking. We couldn’t figure out WIFi access. Two short flights of stairs to access main level but easy to access. Has washer and dryer available, along with functioning barbecue. Nice property❤️

Place Was Filthy

The location was great and the cobin itself was not bad at all, however, the cabin was filthy. The property management company does not clean at all and there was still lipstick on cups, trash on the floors, food on the nightstand, and fresh makeup on the sheets. There were also insect bait traps everywhere so it wasnt initially safe for young kids. They also filled the soap dispensers with water which is crazy and cheap. Check-in isnt until 4pm with a 10am check-out time so you'd think the place would be clean given all of that time. Vacasa the management company is a mess.

Infested with ants

The location is great! However, the ant infestation was so bad we left early. :( once we got home there were ants coming out of our luggage and my kids hair. It was not cleaned well. On the surface ti appeared clean. But crumbs in every drawer and under the cabinet lip and the carpet is dark green so you can’t see the stains as bright but very stained. The ants were also invisible on the carpet.

Good for families and theres sledding near by

The property itself was great! Cozy and plenty warm for the winter. The beds were comfortable. We are a family of 4, our kids fought for the loft beds. Good thing its two kids for two beds. My complaints are: The rugs were laying in the hallway, instead of placed back in the bathrooms. The dishwasher was completely full from the previous guests, although they were clean. I just thought there were not many silverware in the cabin. There was also a bag of trash in the cleaning closet from previous guests. Other than those annoying discrepancies, we had a blast.

Great location cabin clean not so much

Well we always love this place and it's location to town and everything in Shaver. We had couple issues tho one was the heating of the cabin good although the website stated that there was no heating other then wood stove was its source of heating was wrong so we spent over $50 dollars on wood which was not needed. This was odd to us since we stayed at this cabin like 3 years ago so we knew it had heating before. We thought maybe new owners changed it but no it was the same. The second issue was the cleaning fee witch was fine but if everyone pays it then we should walk in to A clean cabin there was left over food in the cupboards coffe pot dirty and coffee grounds all over and the oven had left over spilled food stuff that burnt and smoked us out when we tried to bake some cookies and potatoes so we had to clean up the mess in order to bake. There was stuff that needed to be wiped down and floors were not vacuumed socks left in loft . We tried to vacuum them after our stay but vacuum was not picking up nothing. All in all we still enjoyed our stay here and will still like to use this cabin in the future for its location. I really hope the cleaning crew steps it up or you guys lower those cleaning fees.

Loved the location, clean home Would have liked more comfortable furniture. While cute, the “love seat” is t functional since it’s so uncomfortable, so there’s a mismatch between how many the cabin sleeps vs how many it comfortably seats.

Shaver Lake stay

Great location close to shaver pizza and center of town. No internet we are in 2022 Dish does not work if it’s snowing . Heater?? Bring wood and items to make a fire great wood Stove . TV could be bigger just me . Was staying here for work internet would have been nice. Drop the Dish get internet everyone Streams these days . It was a great place to stay . I would book again !!!
