Thatched cottage directly on the Oste dike

Nestled in the vast landscape of the north, right on the Oste dike, stands our lovingly designed thatched-roof house. Behind the dike, the Oste River flows peacefully by, lending the property a very special atmosphere. Here, it’s not about experiencing as much as possible—it’s about arriving, taking a deep breath, and having time to yourself.



Natural materials and carefully selected details create an atmosphere where you’ll quickly feel at home. The fireplace invites you to linger, the loft under the roof offers a quiet retreat, and beautiful light streams in through the large windows. Thanks to the underfloor heating, the house is a wonderful place for a little getaway even during the colder months.



Our large, partially fenced-in garden offers plenty of space—about 2,000 m²—for playing, relaxing, and exploring. Two large terraces invite you to follow the light throughout the day. In between, there’s a pond, old trees, meadows, and many little nooks where you can simply sit and watch nature. A hammock is waiting for you to finally do nothing for a change.



Its location on the Ostedeich makes this place special: the vast marsh landscape, the water, and the tranquillity give it a character all its own. The Kreidesee Hemmoor is a real highlight for divers and day-trippers. The Südsee Otterndorf, the Wingst Forest Zoo, and the Natureum Niederelbe are popular destinations in the area.
