Very nice cottage in a great location. Beautiful and relaxing lake views from the large deck. Excellent place to use as a base to explore the midcoast area. Jen responded quickly to questions.

Wonderful, serene, spot on Pemaquid Pond. The house has everything you need, the pristine lake is just beyond the wrap around deck, and it is close to all the charm of midcoast Maine!

The house is beautifully located at Pemaquid Pond. Secluded with views of the lake with loons and ducks. Check in was easy with a welcome gift waiting from the host. Easy to follow instructions for Wifi, outdoor furniture, awning, etc were available and the Host was available by phone if needed. We loved the quiet remote location, yet a drive of only 10 minutes to shopping and restaurants made this one of our favorites so far. We thank the host for allowing us to bring our dog along for the trip. We had a relaxing week at the lake and hopefully will be back next year.

We absolutely loved spending the week here! The lake is incredibly peaceful, and the house is comfortable, welcoming, and stocked with everything we needed for a relaxing stay.Listening to the loons in the evening made our time here feel truly special. Waking up each morning to the beautiful lake just steps from the door and enjoying coffee on the deck was pure magic.We also loved swimming, kayaking, and canoeing using the boats provided. The location was perfect—quiet and secluded, yet close to all of the Midcoast Maine attractions we wanted to explore.We would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful lakeside getaway.

We absolutely loved the cottage for its fabulous view and proximity to the lake, as well as the general aesthetics and immaculate condition. The owners, who were next door were friendly and helpful. We hope to return!

Relaxfull

Absolutely beautiful, a place to relax and unwind. Wonderful lake view, the place was clean and had everything you needed. Enjoyed the visit of the Loon family, ducks and a bald eagle. Definitely looking forward to returning again.

Peaceful retreat with outstanding customer service and exquisitely clean property

The serenity and beauty of this place on the lake soothes one's soul with tranquility. Cleanest property we have ever stayed at. Hosts are outstanding in their customer service. Excellent mid coast location to explore Boothbay region. Cottage itself is awesome with great amenities. Difficult to leave and can't wait to stay again!

Definitely off the beaten path (which we like). Clean and well equipped

Darling 2 bedroom cottage on a very pretty lake. Close enough to town for groceries and dining. Enjoyed the peaceful call of the loons in the morning. Upstairs access is by a spiral staircase - your group should be aware.

Peaceful charmer on the lake

Our visit was a Maine dream come true. The house was lovely! Sparkling clean, stunning view, and completely equipped, it was everything we hoped for. The hosts were gracious, attentive and available. Given the bonus of its quiet location and the serenity of the surroundings, we give this home the highest recommendation.

Lots of thoughtful touches

We found Wildwood to be clean, comfortable and quiet. The view of the lake was lovely, and we enjoyed the ducks swimming near the dock, and the loons who kept the girls company when they kayaked. We were impressed by thoughtful touches such as light afghans on the couches and first aid kits in the bathrooms.

The location and view was excellent! We’ve stayed in a different area every year for the past 8 years. This place definitely needs to be updated. The living room furniture was faded and stained. The carpet was stained. Overall overpriced for how dated it was.

Thank you for your feedback. In the past two years, we have updated the following: brand new stove/oven, new washer/dryer, new refrigerator, floors refinished, deck painted, new counter tops, new linens, new dock, new fire pit, and new kayaks. Having a rental property with many guests and a full wall of windows that accept light definitely takes a toll on the fabric of our furniture very quickly. And our attention to disinfecting all fabric surfaces between guests due to COVID doesn't help. I'm sorry that a stain on the carpet (we're child and pet friendly, while many are not), disrupted your stay. We assure you that despite a possible stain, everything was thoroughly cleaned and disinfected. We hope you continue to rent through vrbo and find a location that better suits your needs. Thanks for choosing us last summer. All the best.
