Came to the area for a family wedding. This cabin was truly peaceful. I loved watching the tide come in and out. The hosts were amazing. I accidently locked myself out and they immediately assisted. I have already recommended the cabin to family and friends.

It’s not hyperbole when I say this was the best place I’ve ever stayed. It ticked all of the essentials for me. It was private; tucked in a forested ocean cove down a short dirt road. It was quaint, quiet and on an ocean cove. The views were impeccable, I stayed here in early October, and I loathed having to leave. My only suggestion would be to prepare for cold nights if you go and it gets into the 40’s. The wind was whipping fiercely and the cabin didn’t get above 60 degrees for 2 days. But if you go in the summer, there appears to be AC.If you want a private cabin in the forest on a beautiful ocean cove, stay here!

My husband and I enjoyed our week at Cove Cottage. After numerous trips to Maine's Southern tier we needed to move further North and were not disappointed. Cove Cottage is a great location for the many sights and sounds for the finest Maine has to offer. We had done our homework prior to coming so other than a couple of emails we didn't get to meet the hosts or have much interaction. The cottage location could not be better for views, nature and exploring. The weather was typical Maine and unpredictable so Kayaking was not a part of our trip sadly as this is the perfect place for kayaking at its best. We look forward to our next Fall trip to the great state of Maine and this Mid Coast area is a place we could both live and enjoy its serenity!

Perfectly rustic. Watching the 4th of July fireworks from the deck was a treat - as was figuring out how to set up the vintage ironing board :-)Nice location with plenty of activities nearby; nice location if you don't want to do anything but breathe in nature.

Fantastic property, great location! We loved watching the tide change, kayaked, the frisbee golf was a huge hit. Perfect place for our family and we saw all the sites along the coast of Maine. Our hosts were quick to respond, helpful, and gave us some fantastic recommendations! Would definitely stay here again!

Once again, we loved our stay at the Cove Cottage! We love the silence and beauty, and its proximity to so much good food and hiking. During this stay, we tried McLoon's Lobster Shack -- great food and gorgeous setting.

The cabin and surrounding area was private and quiet. The cabin was a beautiful Maine cottage with absolutely beautiful views of the cove! My dogs and I really enjoyed our stay. The property was perfect to sit and relax or take my dogs for a hike. The host made the cottage very dog friendly.

Back home today and missing Cove Cottage terribly! We almost didn’t make it this year due to medical reasons and a particularly tough past year, but we are SO HAPPY that we did. It was just what we needed to reset and reconnect after a challenging year.I was very comfortable in the downstairs bedroom while my daughter took the upstairs. We enjoyed connecting with my dear high school classmate who lives and works in the area, kayaking, walking the grounds of the Olson House in Cushing, cooking meals at home, and eating delicious seafood out.I found myself gravitating back to the big rock overlooking the cove for my morning meditations, while my daughter rested and wrote in the hammock. After one hot, long paddle in the tandem kayak we rented, we both jumped into the cove for a brief, icy-but-refreshing swim. These beautiful summer memories, made here, are ones we will always treasure.Vanessa and Paul are absolutely the best hosts. They are there if you need them, responsive to communication, and yet maintain such a respectful distance that you feel as though you have this magical place all to yourself.We cannot thank you enough for renting to us again. Cove Cottage gave us exactly the reset we needed, and we are already missing it. Vanessa and Paul, we wish you both a very happy and healthy year ahead!
