PARK and WALK - Mayberry & Main - 'The Main Suite' - New Construction
If you're looking for the perfect way to see all things 'Mayberry' then this is the place for you. Park your car, relax, and walk to any attraction Mount Airy offers in our vibrant downtown area.
'The Main Suite' is located in the heart of Mount Airy at 496 North Main Street. It is one of two new Suite's created as part of the restoration of this historic property. The renovation project was completed in December 2017.
The total restoration of the property resulted in the creation of two premium residential facilities at the rear of the building and one newly restored commercial space. The commercial space occupies the entire street level at the front of the building. 'The Main Suite' and it's sister facility 'The Mayberry Suite' were built with comfort and convenience as the main guidelines.
Enjoy shopping, restaurants, wineries, breweries, recreational walking trails, and workout facilities within walking distance of your front door.
THE PROPERTY
The 10' high gold and blue painted ceilings make this space feel large and luxurious. You will find everything you need and ample room for up to 4 guests. No one will feel slighted and all will enjoy a perfect night's sleep.
Inside, you'll find all the amenities you need in your ultimate home-away-from-home, including wireless internet access, in-unit laundry machines, and central air and heat for your comfort. After an eventful day exploring the area, come home to unwind in the cozy living room, where you can watch your favorite show on the 55 inch, 4k, smart TV, equipped with all your favorite cable channels. Later, refuel with a delicious home-cooked meal prepared in the fully stocked kitchen or grilled out on your private patio. Top off the night with relaxing conversation between friends and family on the patio or stroll back down main street to enjoy a cocktail at Old North State or your favorite beverage at one of our local breweries on Market Street.

We are very proud to call Mount Airy home. Our family has it's roots in the Mount Airy/Surry County area for 5 generations now. Carol and I have raised our three grown children here and watched them all graduate from Mount Airy High School. Our two oldest have now graduated college and returned to settle and raise yet another generation here in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
After receiving my degree in Electrical Engineering I worked for Duke Energy 15 years out of college and have spent the last 19 years as a financial advisor.
In the last few years our town has entered a new chapter of renewal and revitalization. We are excited to be a part of this renaissance by providing visitors to our town a beautiful place to reside as they relax and enjoy all we have to offer here in the foothills area.

We purchased this property in 2016 because of it's convenient location and immaculate surroundings in the financial district of Mount Airy.
Originally constructed in 1903, the extensive renovation project was completed in October 2017. I relocated my business to the front office facing Main Street. The two vacation rental 'Suites' at the back of the building opened in December 2017.
We love everything about Mount Airy and the surrounding area.
This building came with the added bonus that let us construct two premium nightly rental facilities for visitors to our area. We dedicated many hours of our personal time to the renovation and we expect, and hope, this facility will be a property that can pass down through the generations that follow us.
