Great vintage kitchen and cute bathroom! The location is perfect, close to all the Andy Griffith tourist locations and to downtown area for shopping, close enough to walk to if you can. The neighborhood is very quiet and we felt very safe.
We enjoyed our stay very much. Ideally located within walking distance to town. Quiet street and a lovely space. The vintage appliances give off a perfect extension to the Mayberry vibe of Mount Airy Main Street!
This was a beautiful Lil apartment with some awesome antique appliances and a quaint bathroom. The bed was so comfortable and the neighborhood was so quiet. I slept like a baby. It was set up to be very user friendly for guests! Tho all we did was stay for a night it would be a nice place for an extended stay. Would definitely book it again!
The apartment was so comfortable, clean, convenient to all things(food, shopping, things to see) and quiet neighborhood. My husband and I walked almost everywhere we went and that was such a great thing because we both got more exercise than we would have if we would of had to drive everywhere. The Host was the perfect Host. He always answered my questions and let us enjoy our vacation,
A lovely stay in a retro apartment with all we needed in an open kitchen/living room area. It was spotless with a lovely comfortable bedroom and great shower over retro metal tub. It was a short walk to Main Street shops and museums which we really enjoyed.
Very nice stay - walking distance to downtown shops and museums. Quiet neighborhood.
Cute vintage apartment. Warm and cozy. Super comfortable king size bed! Great water pressure in shower and bathroom sink. Clean. Excellent communication with property owner - responded to questions within minutes. Could use a few more electrical outlets in the bedroom. But that’s to be expected in an older building. We always carry an extension cord when we travel. Would stay here again!
We loved this property. Very clean and in walking distance of the downtown area. The apartment is adorable antiques. Great communication with the hosts.
This was such an amazing find! Cute little place tucked away in this small but lively town. The host was so kind and helpful. We were just down the street from all the shops and the people there are so friendly. We will definitely be back!
We enjoyed our stay in this clean apartment. Everything is in walking distance, the neighborhood and house is very quiet and peaceful. The vintage touches are fun and appreciated. Plenty of storage and the smart TVs are great for catching up on your favorite streaming shows. The owners were very nice and hospitable, we would love to return!
If you are looking for a location close to downtown Mt. Airy, this might be the place for you. Everything, e.g.,
Andy Griffin Museum, Main Street, etc., is within walking distance.
The space is as described in the VRBO info and pictures. There is a set of about 20 stairs to climb to enter but we (two seniors) made it fine during our two night stay without any issues.
The space was clean and adequate for our needs. We enjoyed out stay and would return.

A really neat place. Definitely most things vintage. I was amazing the fan worked haha. It was a nice overnight stay for our small family vacation to celebrate our daughters birthday. Thank you.
We had a wonderful stay at this VRBO in Maysville, NC! The home is located in a safe area, making us feel comfortable throughout our stay. As a bonus, Maysville is the hometown of Andy Griffith, which added a bit of charm to the visit. The property was super clean, and the hosts were fantastic—responsive and welcoming.
The home had everything we needed, with all the essential kitchen amenities in place. The vintage refrigerator and stove were a delightful surprise. The stove, in particular, was incredible—truly a gem that they don't make like that anymore!
A few things to note: the property does require climbing a significant number of stairs to enter, so it might not be ideal for those with mobility concerns. Also, there are no laundry facilities on the premises. The sofa bed is a Serta, but it's more of a twin-sized futon—perfect for a small child but not quite suitable for an adult. However, it was comfortable for its size.
The internet connection was excellent, which was a huge plus. Overall, we had a great experience and highly recommend this place for a cozy and unique stay in Maysville!
This is a great location, close to everything. It was very clean. We loved how this apartment is styled. Very quick responses from host. There are stairs to climb, which I didn't relaize when I reserved it, my husband is awful with stairs but, he survived, lol. Great place to stay! Highly recommend!

Mt. Airy is all about the Andy Griffith Show, and Mayberry. This vintage apartment is amazing and continues the feel of the town when you turn in for the night. I have no idea how you find these vintage appliances that still work perfectly. At first I thought I wasn't getting the information from the host, but it turned out that Vrbo's system is very unstable and I couldn't log in to get it. The host was communicating and would respond almost immediately to messages. Don't hesitate to stay here. Know that you do have to walk up stairs to get to the apartment, but as long as that's fine, this is a great place. It's walking distance to everything in town. Oh... take the squad car tour in town. It's worth every penny!
It was decorated cute, clean, a very relaxing get away in a wonderful town that has the most patriotic July 4th parade. I was able to stay 2 nights which was perfect to spend the night of the 3rd and be in town early before the parade and support the local economy. I also stayed the second night to be able to watch the fireworks and not have to drive home late on a holiday night. The neighborhood was very quiet. Good find. Thank you!
