Load and start the dishwasher
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights, lock the doors and return the keys
Please follow checklist in the house. Wash, dry and fold any linens such as pillow protectors, beach towels, dish towels and washcloths and bathmats for next guests,
Take all recycling and trash to the curb from house and garage.
Return house and garage to broom clean condition and turn off garage light, locking house and garage, securing all windows.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Renters agree to use bikes and kayak at their own risk and to hold the owners harmless for any personal injury. Condition of equipment not guaranteed.
Lewes charges a 5% tax on the nightly rents received. Delaware charges a 4.5% tax on nightly rents.
Tenant is shall leave the property in broom clean condition and is responsible to secure all windows and doors upon Departure.

This house was exactly as advertised - clean, comfortable, and well supplied. The screened porches were a highlight. A bonus was that my kids loved looking for crabs in the jetty near the beach on low tide, as well as walking along the sandbar. Would definitely stay again!

The pictures don't do this house justice! It was spacious, open, and had the best back porch. We spent most of our time out there while we were at the house. It was also so easy to get to the beach and go for a run down to Cape Henlopen State Park. Would absolutely recommend this to any group. Thank you for such a good stay!

Our whole family totally enjoyed our stay at the Lewes and Clark beach house! We loved the screened patio which allowed us to enjoy the ocean breezes while protected by the screened windows. The bedding arrangement was a perfect match for my family and we were pleasantly surprised by all the utensils and beach chairs and toys that we were free to use. The house was spotless upon arrival so it was our goal to leave that way for the next guests. The only possible downside was the lack of TV sets which was a bit of a problem with 4 grandchildren looking for some entertainment. But that was only a minor issue and did not detract from our stay too much.

Amazing House and Location

The property was large and had anything you could ever need for a relaxing beach trip. From beach chairs to crab pots to kayaks, everything was there. The host was incredibly responsive and the house was in incredible condition.

Industry Pals

We're a group of 8 women, ranging in age from 62-82, from throughout the US. We have varying degrees of mobility, so the option of first floor sleeping and bathing was awesome. This house was absolutely perfect for us - plenty of space, well-stocked kitchen, comfortable furnishings throughout. We shopped and dined in charming Lewes during the day, then enjoyed wonderful dinners around the large dining table in the evening. Short (1/2 block) walk to the Delaware Bay Beach, too!

The owners purchased the property after falling in love with the Bay sunset and enjoying the family-style fun - swimming, paddle-boarding, fishing, biking, hiking and all of this is 150 steps from the house.
