All I can say is, this was the perfect spot for our families end of summer getaway. Beautiful home with everything we needed and more. We would definitely stay here again.
House is beach front which is so awesome.. lots of sleeping space.. stocked pretty well.. comfy couch, plenty of towels.. wonderful deck to view the ocean. Very much enjoyed our stay.
We love High Tide. Our family had stayed here before and we were already sold by the view, beach access, comfortable home, and the ease of working with the owners. We did not expect to be blown away by the renovations. This house is stunning! It is so pretty and so functional (cheers for the kitchen, laundry, baths, new decks, etc). My family says it's their favorite house of all we've stayed in over the last 30 years. Wow! High Tide is High End. You'll love it.
Very enjoyable beach experience! The beach house was very comfortable - beds were great!
Lots of amenities- climate adjustable - deck was lovely - but a few weathered boards need to be nailed down. Sunrise was wonderful.
The upper deck door was difficult to unlock and then difficult to relock- due to rusting of the lock. Probably an easy fix. The top deck is a great place to view the beach and relax and also shaded the large lower deck!
Highly recommend this Beach House!
The owners were great and very responsive to any issues. The beds were extremely comfortable and it was nice to be right on the beach with our own short path across the dunes to the beach. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we might need. The reclining sectional in the living room was so great that we had to ask where they got it. The road to drive on to the beach is only a house or two down which would probably aid with bringing out lots of beach supplies or bringing someone with mobility issues out, but we just carried everything. The weekend was crowded on the beach, but Saturday we visited the beach in nearby Point West and Sunday the guys went golfing. The people watching from the balcony was fun as well. Sandcastle building was epic as it always is on the Texas coast.

Glad y’all were able to enjoy your time at the beach!
The Pro's of this home are it's proximity to the beach. It has more than adequate bed spacing, dining and couch space. The beds we utilized were very comfortable. The outdoor shower is nice and gives you a nice spot to stow your beach stuff away. Owner allowed us to check in and hour early, because the maid was done. Problem is she wasn't done..... and that's where the Pro's end. The bathrooms were dirty with someone's stray hairs and "blue" shampoo clearly all over ALL of the tubs/shower walls. To my dismay, I started my vacay cleaning. There were cigarette butts on front and back patios. The kitchen was very dirty... everywhere the fridge, the oven, the dishes, the microwave was disgusting... there were LIVE BUGS crawling around inside it. When I advised the owner and sent her a video of the bugs crawling around- she was polite; however, she stated that she was sorry it wasn't "up to our standards" She offered to come spray while we were there, but my daughter to sensitive to repellents, so I asked her to wait until we checked out. It is also important to note, this isn't the owner's fault but the water is not acceptable for drinking, cooking, or in my opinion showering. She did notify us of that once we booked. I wish I had known beforehand how bad it is. It literally has a VERY STRONG odor to it. The owner did supply some bottled water in the fridge.
Needless to say we ventured out to eat for all meals and refrained from using the kitchen once we saw the bugs. We checked out a day early, honestly pretty disappointed with the house that we paid a ton of money per night for! We left the house cleaner than we found it, so hopefully the next guests will have a better experience. I do feel like we should have been refunded our housekeeping fee, as the house was just plain dirty.

I don't even know what to say to this review. The only thing that I can confirm is that the guest did send me a video of tiny ants that had found their way in to the kitchen, which I offered to rectify immediately. The house is treated for pests on a regular schedule as well as an on needed basis. The pests were treated and are gone.
Other than that I'd just like to state that we choose to share our beach home with other beach lover's to enjoy a relaxing time in a nice, Texas beach, setting. When you rent a VRBO please do so knowing that you are participating in this experience. While we thoroughly clean the house after every guest there may be signs that another family was there. Despite every effort, a hair might be missed. As with any home, something may come up during your stay. I welcome and encourage every guest to communicate all up keep concerns that I can address because I want to fix any issues immediately. In preparation for hosting summer guests, this spring alone, we replaced the air conditioners, refrigerator, dishwasher, couch, towels, sheets, pillows, pots and pans, etc. along with having paint touched up and regular maintenance scheduled. We do our best to anticipate and circumvent an interruption in our guests vacation. We love to come down to the house as often as possible and want it to be nice for our own use as well as our guests.
The high tide beach house was beautiful and in a great location! Kitchen was spacious and we were all able to have our own bedroom. The only downside were the pesky mosquitos! This is my third summer renting in Surfside and they have never been this bad for us.
Such a great place. Access to the beach was super simple, literally less than a one-minute walk, and ample parking for our family members. Beds were super comfy and everyone slept great. It was well decorated and the kitchen had everything we needed except a crock pot. There are a lot of stairs to get up into the house and it's not wheelchair accessible. Loved all the windows and beach viewswe had such a lovely time. It was amazing being right on the beach. :)Do make note that the grills are charcoal-only. There's no gas grill. One negative, and this has nothing to do with the host, but the water inside the house is kind of gross-looking and has a slight rusty smell. It definitely has a brownish tint. I'm guessing the house is on well water, so it's not clear "city" water like we are used to. We washed dishes and showered with it, but chose not to drink it or brush our teeth with it-just couldn't get past the color. Bottled water was our friend for those activities. :)
Location was 10/10. The running water was not potable so that was a little bit of a pain but we brought plenty of bottled water to drink and cook with.
The check-in process was easy and hassle-free. The hosts were wonderful to work with and always available if we needed anything. The house was very clean, and the kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed to cook meals during our stay. There were also plenty of towels provided in each bathroom, which was a nice touch.I would recommend bringing or purchasing bottled water for your stay. The beach view from the balcony was my favorite spot to enjoy my morning coffee and relax in the evenings. Having the beach just steps from the back door made it so easy to enjoy the sand and water whenever we wanted. My family and I had a wonderful stay and made some great memories. We would definitely recommend this beach house to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway!
Direct access to the beach with a short drive to any locations. Home has everything 3 families with kids could need. Beds are big and comfy. Would highly recommend and hope to be back soon.
3 generations under one roof. Grandparents stayed on the top floor in the master suite. It has it's own bathroom A/C and balcony. 3 bedrooms on the main floor with two more full bathrooms. Plenty of parking underneath the home and in the driveway area. The house is right on the beach with a pathway. Several outdoor showers, one private. Plenty of space to accomadate everyone in our group.
Very clean... well stocked kitchen. Hosts very responsive to any concerns. Easy entry on arrival since door opened with code pad. Bedrooms are good size, but have no clothes closets only hooks on walls. No problem really just FYI. Plenty of drawers. Water pressure in showers is not great. Only one tub located in third level master bath. There is an enclosed show on lower deck area. Be aware that there are lots of stairs and no ramp making access somewhat different for older people or anyone with mobility issues.
