Set on a grassy hilltop with expansive ocean views in beautiful South Kihei is Anthurium House at Maui Kamaole. Surrounded by lush tropical landscaping, this extra spacious (1,061 SF) 1BR/2BA ground floor condominium unit enjoys an unbeatable front row, end-unit location. Enjoy 180 degree views of the Pacific Ocean as you lounge on the shaded and very private front lanai listening to the birds that call the nearby sanctuary home.

Recently renovated in 2019, the condo features new furniture, bedding, stainless steel appliances, paint, flooring, cabinet faces, art and décor. The unit is very clean and clutter free. Comfortably furnished, our one bedroom unit sleeps four (max occupancy) with a California King (new mattress 2021) in the master and a pull-out queen sleeper sofa (2019) with upgraded memory foam mattress in the living room. Also included are two full bathrooms, air conditioning in the bedroom and living area, ceiling fans, free high-speed internet/WiFi, 55" LG 4K mounted flat screen TV, free cable, DVD player, telephone with free unlimited calls to US and Canada, washer/dryer with a starter packet of laundry soap, a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, and an in-room safe. Relax after a long day at the beach with our collection of DVDs, books and board games. Anthurium House even has its own assigned parking space in the adjacent parking lot. There are no stairs from your car to the front door making unloading luggage and strollers a breeze!

Speaking of strollers, parents please inquire about our free infant and toddler items available for Anthurium House guests including pack and play, sit and stand stroller, bumbo and portable high chair (must be requested in advance of check in). We also have a large library of children's books for all ages, blocks, plastic utensils, cups and dishes, and much more to make traveling with children simpler.

Anthurium House offers spectacular ocean and garden views and a true taste of Hawaiian living. Food tastes better when eaten outside at the dining table on the large, lush, and private front lanai, complete with banana tree. After dinner, move your chairs out to the lawn area directly in front of the unit to watch an unforgettable Maui sunset with 180 degree views of the ocean. The stainless steel gas BBQs are conveniently located with access from the lanai or front door. There is also a private courtyard off the bedroom with tropical foliage for your enjoyment. Blackout curtains can be closed for afternoon naps.

Luxury and privacy meet at Maui Kamaole, a low-rise resort property of 316 two-story condominiums. Strolling the grounds of this large 23 acre property, you will discover tropical gardens, two resort pools and hot tubs, tennis courts, and many private BBQ and dining areas. The community is located near the beaches, restaurants, grocery stores and other conveniences of South Kihei, but is situated away from the hustle and bustle. Unlike many of the high density condos in Kihei located right next to the road, Maui Kamaole feels like a remote Wailea resort set inside a serene Hawaiian garden.

Anthurium House is conveniently located just across South Kihei Road from the coastal dune beach walk, which connects the Kihei Boat ramp with Kamaole Beach III, one of South Maui’s best beaches complete with life guard tower, swings and huge grassy picnic area. Keawakapu Beach, a lesser known golden sand beach, is an easy 10 minute walk away and you are just minutes from Wailea, home to 90 holes of championship golf, world-class tennis, shopping and dining.

Early risers can enjoy their morning coffee on the sandy coastal dune beach walk across the street (home to ‘u‘au kani/wedge-tailed shearwaters) and watch the honu/sea turtles eat their breakfast on the rocks. For a special evening, stroll along the paved ocean front path behind Ulua Beach (1.9 miles away) to watch the sunset and then enjoy the fine dining Wailea is known for. Beautiful place

We had a wonderful time. Maui Kamaole is a beautiful property and Amy’s unit is in the best place on the property. The ocean views are spectacular and the unit provides all the amenities you would want or need from A/C to kitchen supplies/equipment to beach supplies/equipment. Amy was easily accessible, very responsive and easy to work with. We had a wonderful time and we would stay there again.

We enjoyed our stay at Anthurium House at Maui Kamaole. The location is great, a short walk to the beach with a nice view from the lanai, especially at sunset. The furnishings are comfortable and amenities are complete and thoughtfully organized. The owner was prompt in responding to a few questions. Quickly replaced a broken beach umbrella left by a previous renter 😠.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Anthurium House! The condo had all of the comforts of home and came exactly as advertised. Amy was very accommodating with our date changes and very helpful with any questions we had. The property was beautiful and our view from the lanai was special. The beach accessories were great! The community BBQ location was very handy to this unit and we took advantage of this several times. We hope to be able to return to Anthurium House in the near future.

A wonderful stay in Kihei

Anthurium House is a lovely place to stay. We were there for 2 weeks. Amy has provided everything you need. The bed was extremely comfortable. A reusable shopping bag filled with goodies welcomed us. The TV in the bedroom didn't work and was quickly replaced. The split a/c made the place very comfortable. The enclosed lanai off the bedroom was a nice place to sit and enjoy the bird song in the morning and the lanai off the living room was a great place to dine and watch the sunsets. We saw whales too! We would definitely stay here again. Mahalo, Amy, for sharing your island home.

This property was perfect for my family! The location is close to many beaches good for swimming or snorkeling. It is quiet, but close to food and grocery. The view is fantastic! We enjoyed many dinners on the lanai, and morning coffee watching the humpbacks breach. The condo had everything we needed plus some. The beach supplies were so nice. Amy went above and beyond for me, answering many questions and very patient with my uncertainty if the trip would happen due to covid. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you Amy!

Kihei Fun in the Sun

We had the most enjoyable stay last week at Maui Kamaole - the condo was incredibly furnished with everything from fun in the sun beach paraphernalia - chairs, picnic supplies, umbrellas, towels, surf toys and etc to being well situated to 3 nearby fantastic Kamaole beaches, and provided easy daily strolls to local cuisine and shopping. Our host was over the top in making sure we had everything we needed to access the condo upon arrival along with so many heads up tidbits to make week great. The short drive to Wailea provided great dinner adventures to MonkeyPod, Ruth Chris Steakhouse and Tommy Bahama restaurants on evenings that we chose to dine out. We’ll be back - sunsets from the patio with your favorite beverage were a favorite treat.

Wonderful Family Getaway

We had the best time staying at Anthurium House! The location is close to some of the island's best beaches, and we enjoyed being able to take quick drives for meals near the condo. My 3 year old loved all the toys the condo had to offer (both for the beach and in the condo!) and we loved relaxing each morning and night enjoying the view from the lanai. We had a small issue with the master shower not draining, and Amy was super quick to reply and had someone out there to fix it immediately. Would definitely recommend Amy's place, especially for those with families. The bed is comfy, the condo is spacious and having an extra restroom was wonderful. Can't wait to get back to Maui!

Paradise vacation

Our family of 4 had an incredible vacation here! The place is clean and very spacious and had everything that we needed and more. It was a real treat to have board games, books, blocks and all the beach gear you can imagine for the kids. It made packing very easy. The beds are super comfortable and the kitchen is well equipment. The Maui kamoele has an ideal location, being close to the amenities of Kihei and the pristine beaches and restaurants of Wailea. The condo has a prime location being the front row and corner unit of the complex with lots of privacy. We watched whales from the patio and there is a large yard where the kids played. The pools are also a highlight for the kids. Amy was a delightful host, answering my text in minutes and providing all the details needed for our stay. I have stayed at many vacation rentals before and I think that Amy does any exceptional job welcoming guests. It’s a lovely piece of heaven and we plan to come back next year!

Sunny and warm get-away

Maui Kamaole is a well kept condo property on the quieter end of Kihei. Very good beach access. This condo is a lower one bedroom unit at the end of the condo section. However, you can't choose your neighbours, and ours above us were quite noisy ( I honestly thought people were moving out as there was so much noise early am and throughout the day as we came and went). But, whatever, we weren't there for months. Amy was pleasant to deal with and we had no issues while we were there. We did ask for restaurant recommendations but never heard back from her, but that was no big deal. Bed was very comfy as was the rest of the unit. Well stocked with dishes etc. Could use a few more dishcloths and storage containers. Overall, we would recommend this unit for a wonderful, sunny vacation! Thanks!

Loved Anthurium House. We only stayed two nights here, but 5 minutes in this place is long enough to know that the owners take an enormous amount of pride in their condo and want everyone who stays to have the best possible experience. After I booked, Amy called me and spent an hour on the phone with me giving me all sorts of recommendations for things to do, places to eat, beaches to visit, etc. Anthurium House has a fully stocked kitchen, tons of extra towels and linens, a great movie and game selection, and beach equipment, too. The decor is bright and fresh, the tvs are new, and there is plenty of storage. Upon arrival, the condo was spotless. Super easy check-in process, free parking, and a gorgeous view from the lanai. The blackout curtains are a huge plus for toddler nap time. This location has easy access to many restaurants and shops in Kihei. Short walk to many places, and the beach. Other beaches are a very short, 5-10 minute drive, depending on where you want to go. Thank you for sharing your beautiful condo with us, Amy. We loved it, and will highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.

Great lunching spot

Wife and I wanted to support Maui but returning to our favorite spots on the west side was not possible. So we took the opportunity to explore south Maui. Anthurium House was a great spot to explore the great eats of Kihei while being a short drive to the fine dining, shopping, and golf of Wailea. Major plus is the walking distance to the Kamaole Beaches. Also just a short drive to Ulua Beach which has some of the better snorkeling on this side of the island. The condo was clean and clearly Amy takes great pride in how she designed and outfitted the home. Some of the major pros: Two good sized bathrooms, AC units in the bedroom and living area were powerful, modern, and quiet. The unit is ground floor so no stairs. Views from the living area are pretty spectacular at sunset. Only two cons: neighbors upstairs were constantly moving chairs around meal time which were quite loud. The smoking area is located adjacent to the condo which meant that occasionally there’d be some random person sitting outside smoking. But it was rare and you never smelled smoke in the condo even with the windows wide open. The community pool could use some new furniture and some umbrellas. In the end, the place is deserving of five stars all around. We really enjoyed our stay and Amy and her condo were a big part of that.

For the price paid, I was expecting a cleaner and updated place. The place has some updated features but overall felt outdated. Also, notice spider webs up in corners of ceilings as well as in corners of place. There are two window AC units, one in the living room and one in master bedroom that are loud and noisy and does not cool as fast a regular unit. The owner is very friendly and provides suggestions for things to do in the area, but was expecting better. The sliding glass doors have two locks and one is very hard to close I smashed my finger multiple times trying to close it, careful with the locks. Overall, we were disappointed for the price paid.

Wonderful Maui Condo

We had a wonderful week at Anthurium House. Our host had thd great Aloha Spirit, she was so informative and helpful. She was quick to answer and gave great deatails about what to do, where to eat and other great tips to enjoy Maui. Our condo was exactly as described. Great beach chairs, cooler and everything else we needed to have a fantastic week on the beach and exploring the island. The property was clean and the bed and linens were very comfotable and good quality. We we loved the location close to beaches and resturants. We loved the view and the lanai as well as the lovely greenspace just outside our unit. We would highly recommend this property and will stay here again in years to come.

Perfect place to unwind and soak up Maui

Wonderful, laid back location to just sit back and enjoy the vibes. Perfectly equipped with just about everything you would need, in a very central area of the island. Comfy bed and delightful back yard to enjoy the sunset (and spot some interesting birds in the morning!). Perfect for a couple, especially one as jet lagged as us the first couple days lol since it was so quiet and had black out curtains!

Why they chose this property

A while back, Matt suggested that we live in Maui for a month each year. He was joking (I thought) but that idea got planted and quickly began to take root. It took two years of searching through countless properties around the island to find our perfect place. When we walked into “the one” and saw the incredible ocean view, we knew that we were finally going to be Maui homeowners.

What makes this property unique

We’ve stayed in dozens of different condo units on Maui over the past two decades. Many either lack personality or are cluttered and overdone in Hawaiian décor. When we purchased Anthurium House, we wanted to offer guests a more modern approach to Hawaiian living. The unit features driftwood, succulents, sea glass and Maui photography on canvas.

The condo was almost completely renovated in 2017 and received new furniture, bedding, stainless steel appliances, paint, ceiling fans, lighting, art and décor. In 2019, we replaced the flooring and cabinet faces and refreshed anything that needed it. The unit is very clean and clutter free.
