We had a great visit at Grandma’s Guest House in Valley Bend, WV. Sept 14-28, 2026.The price is a bit higher than you would pay in Elkins (20 min drive away) but it has pretty much everything you would need for a comfortable stay in a great neighborhood! This is a very family friendly VRBO. This includes WiFi (big plus). The house is a great layout for our needs. The kitchen lacked a bit as far as being equipped with adequate dishes, regular drinking glasses. Kristie and her family were great! I would definitely recommend staying at Grandma’s Guesthouse and I would definitely rent the house again.Thank you so much for hosting us.

Nice place

The house is clean and very cozy. 4 of us stayed for 3 nights. After 2 days of all day skiing/snowboarding, warm and comfortable house was great to come back to enjoy relaxing evenings.

A peaceful rest after Skiing @Snowshoe

The property was a little farther than anticipated from snowshoe, but it’s so perfect to stay away from the crowds and the busyness of the ski resort. A great place to rest, relax and head back out for more skiing. Super clean, super friendly, super responsive host ~ five stars.
