HOUSE TOUR This 1864 farmhouse underwent a full renovation to create a unique hospitality experience for guests. You enter through the front door into the kitchen - the heart of the home. The full chef's kitchen, accented with cathedral ceilings + hand-hewn beams, provides guests with an upscale-cooking experience, down to the appliances + cutlery. Music + conversation flow freely as guests can cook and relax together within the open concept floor plan. A mudroom off the back of kitchen allows extra storage for those boots, coats, and gear.
This 1688 sq ft home packs a lot of punch with 4 bedrooms with 2.5 baths. Bedroom 1 has a queen bed and is located downstairs through the sliding barn door off the living room. This loops around into the downstairs full bath, which boasts a 4ft clawfoot tub for stand-up showering or soaking for the kids.
Up the old-fashioned split staircase, you'll find Bedroom 2 off to the left. Bedroom 2 offers two double beds, two closets and a dresser. Many guests comment on the sideways Vermont window, also referred to as a "witches window", historic to New England farmhouses of this era.
Across the landing is the start of the upstairs hallway. Bedroom 3 is the Bunk Room, located off the back of the house. Built to withstand the weight of kids and adults alike, the two single beds provide sleeping arrangements for those looking to feel like a kid again. The closet in this room is one of the largest in the house and is where guests can find the Pack'N'Play if traveling with young children.
Down the hallway through an antique pocket door, you'll find the powder room. This bathroom serves as a great option for night-time and morning routines. The recessed medicine cabinet offers additional storage for guests.
At the end of the hallway, you'll enter Bedroom 4, the Primary Bedroom with a king bed and en-suite bath. This room has a reclaimed barnwood ceiling, a dresser, and a private bathroom that all guests will want to enjoy. The Primary Bath offers aged brass faucets and a vaulted shiplap shower with flush-entry. Ursa Major Shampoo, Conditioner and Body Wash are provided for all guests as well as soap, lotion, Qtips, cotton balls, first aid kit, and make-up towels.
HEATING + COOLING The wood-burning stove is located in the Dining Room and provides a secondary source of heat during cold Vermont winters - cord wood is located in the basement. The NEST thermostat is located along the Dining Room wall and serves as the primary heat source. In the Living Room and Primary Bedroom, a heat pump mini split can be used for additional heating + cooling in winter/summer months and is operated by a remote control. Fans are also provided if needed for white noise or additional cooling.

We had a wonderful stay. The property is about 15 minute drive to the ski mountain and just a short walk to the beautiful down town. The house is beautifully renovated and was comfortable for two families to share. We had a great stay!
The Farm House is well-appointed, with beautifully maintained gardens. It a jewel perfectly situated next to Main Street. We enjoyed our stay very much and would heartily recommend it to others.
Our family of 6 enjoyed this beautiful home which is located within walking distance to most of Stowe. Bedding was comfortable, digital entertainment was scarce (which we loved) and the kitchen was very well supplied with snacks supplied.
We couldn’t have imagined a more perfect place to stay.
House was great and had everything we needed. It was walking distance to many shops and restaurants. It’s 10-15 minutes to Stowe Mountain with a shuttle that goes by the house. Thank you for hosting us!
We enjoyed staying at this home. The house was fully stocked with everything we needed which made for a seamless stay. House is actually prettier in person because the view from the front porch is why you go to Stowe! Walkable to several restaurants, shops and walking trails.
Such a beautifully restored, quintessential Vermont farm home. We loved our stay and all of the lovely details that made for a warm, fun family getaway. So nice to be able to walk to dinner after a day on the mountain! Thank you.
Beautiful and clean farm house. Very relaxing place to stay. Centrally located and able to walk to restaurants and shops. Walking distance & a short drive to down town Stowe. The views from the window of Stowe are lovely. Only 10 minutes from Stowe mountain! Great place for adults and kids.
house was fairly comfortable. Location excellent, able to walk to town (or drive) and the mountain is only a few minutes away. The property quiet and the beds were comfortable. Kitchen supplies very well stocked. Only con was that the house is pretty drafty.
The Farm Home was the perfect layout for our family of seven The parents had the master suite with their two kids next door in bunk beds. The two granddads had the bedroom with two twin beds and the funcle sprawled out downstairs. To duplicate these accommodations in a hotel would have been very expensive and hard to find The kitchen was extremely well equipped and there were plenty of games for the kids. We stopped by the Farm Home store on Main Street and met Lisa, the owner. We promised to return in 2026.
The Farm House is a lovely gem! The space was beautiful , clean and well maintained. It is obvious that lots of attention to detail goes into maintaining this charming home. We loved the wood stove and my kids loved the hill in the backyard that entertained them for hours. Thank you for a great stay.

The Farm Home is an incredible property. It’s conveniently located within walking distance of Main Street, shops, bars, and restaurants, and just a short drive to Stowe Mountain Village. The house has everything you could need, and the hosts truly go above and beyond to make it feel like home.My family stayed here over Christmas, and the thoughtful touches made all the difference—festive linens, a fully decorated tree, outdoor lights, and more. The hosts were also extremely responsive and quick to address any needs. We were traveling with our 21-month-old, who loved climbing the stairs, and I was concerned about her slipping. I messaged Lisa and Tyson about a baby gate, and they hand-delivered one within the hour—absolutely incredible.Another small but wonderful detail for our family was the little hill beside the house. It turned into the perfect sledding spot for our 4-year-old and 1-year-old.This home and experience have set a very high bar for future Christmas vacations. I truly cannot recommend it enough.
We had an amazing time, the location is fantastic, the beds and pillows so comfy and love the shower in the upstairs bedroom, kitchen had evrything we needed and even more than we expected, the owners are very quick to respond to any info we needed and you must check out their Farm Home Store in Stowe, a must see, yes we will definitely rent this property again and highly recommend this property. This is a 5 Star Home

Thank you Andree, your words are so kind and we're so glad you could enjoy a special stay with your family, and dad, in Stowe. With many thanks, The Brys
Beautiful old farmhouse, fully renovated and updated with much style. A fully stocked, great kitchen with high end appliances. The hosts have provided all that is needed and many extras. Beautiful patio area in back, lovely landscaping and gardens. Would highly recommend for family gatherings. Great property! Gracious hosts, very responsive.
I travel constantly for work all over N America and have seen some beautiful places but nothing compared to this experience!
This farmhome perfectly represents the vibe of a Stowe VT. It was the coziest stay my family and I have ever experienced! Every little detail was account from character, Apple TV, amenities, etc.
It was a perfect walking distance to everything Stowe had to offer and the best view! We will absolutely be back again. No question.
We enjoyed our stay. The house has been updated and is charming. My only concern is it’s not a good choice for anyone with mobility issues. The stairs are so steep. The claw foot tub is charming but impossible for an old person to get in to use the shower. I can’t do stairs but I had to make it up the steps to shower. It was well equipped with high end appliances and kitchen tools. Lines were lovely with quality soaps and shampoo’s. They have done everything possible to make it a lovely experience.
The Farm House is amazingly cute and cozy! We loved our week long ski trip as a family at Stowe and came back to the house each night to have dinner, sit around the wood stove and play board games. It was just so perfect! Very Vermont! The house is only about 10 mins to the ski resort. And it is situated practically next door to Ranch Camp and Doc Ponds restaurants - both which had excellent food.
The house was just as pictured and super duper clean. We had not one issue all week with anything. There was even a snow plow that came all the way up into the driveway for us!

Thank you for such a sweet note Amy. We are so happy you enjoyed your family vacation in Stowe and hope to see you again soon!
This is a great house! Short walk to town and charmingly decorated. The hosts really take great care of this house and communication was easy and efficient. You feel like you are staying in someone's very nice and stylish Vermont home.
A few things to keep in mind if you are staying with small children or elderly.
1. The stairs have narrow steps which is to be expected of this historic home. There is a bedroom on the first floor which is great.
2. One window in a bedroom didn't close all the way for us. But there was a shutter over it that closed all the way.
3. There is a sidewalk that leads into town but it is on the opposite side of the road. Cars on that road drive about 30 miles an hour or so it felt like. There is a crosswalk a half a block away from the house.
The house is a lovely place to relax! Very beautifully done! I would highly recommend this property for a family! The owners were also easily accessible for any of our needs!
Our stay at the Farmhouse was fantastic. The owners were quick to respond to inquiries and very nice.
The decor was impeccable and you can tell thought went into every detail. It felt like we were staying at an interior design showcase. Everything was comfy and cozy.
The kitchen was fully stocked, including a cupboard of snacks, and linens were luxurious. On top of that, we arrived to a basket with a gift card and local coffee beans.
The location is great and very close to downtown. We walked into the main drag for morning coffee, and used the provided bikes on the town's rec path which I highly recommend.
I'd definitely come back.
What a wonderful home! The pictures don’t do this property justice. There is a beautiful garden, ample parking, great yard, and perfect access to Stowe. We thank you for a wonderful fall stay with our little girls.

Channeling that entrepreneur magic into everything I do...I love old homes, well-designed spaces, farm-to-table food, and wine + craft beer. A native New Englander, I moved to Stowe, Vermont with my husband Tyson, where live with our kids, and own and operate our storefront on Main Street: Farm Home Marketplace.
Why they chose this property
Growing up in Vermont, there was never a shortage of projects to be completed at the Bry household, and even as Tyson pursued a career as a professional engineer, the creative freedom and satisfaction of home renovation remained a constant calling. It only seemed fitting that his future wife would share his same enthusiasm to create inspiring spaces.
Lisa, a native of Boston, has always had a knack for order and a keen eye for detail. Her creative career began in 2010 when she founded DanceWorks LLC, where she honed her skills as a young businesswoman and entrepreneur.
Tyson's love for the Vermont lifestyle found them looking for real estate in Stowe, when the couple first laid eyes on an old farmhouse in February 2016. Beyond the rotted sills and clapboards, they were entranced by the character within the walls and unlocked a project of a lifetime. As two young dreamers, they got to work restoring this old beauty one board and square nail at a time. The duo was able to strike the perfect balance of authentic storytelling, documenting the renovation highs + lows on Instagram @thefarmhome.
Their passion for restoration ultimately led them to start Farm Home Co. - a combination of boutique lodging & design studio, which recently transitioned into their online and brick & mortar shop Farm Home Marketplace at 25 Main Street in Stowe. Today, the shop is their way of making unique home design more approachable for clients looking to emulate the Farm Home Co. style in their own homes.
What makes this property unique
