Private Bluff Top Cottage above the Mississippi River

This charming, newly remodeled cottage is conveniently located between Grafton and Alton, IL on top of the bluff, high above the Mississippi River and the Great River Road. This 2 bedroom cottage is in a private, woodland setting perfect for your bird and wildlife viewing. We have seen many eagles, turkey and deer.

Although there is no internet at the cottage there is a river viewing area with internet close by. Cell phone service is good. Also, for those that would like to stay longer, there is a 10% discount for weekly and 15% for monthly stays.
Our prices include all fees. No hidden fees.

It was nice, quiet, and secluded. We were there for a fishing trip so it was perfect for what we were looking for. The owners were very easy to get a hold of. The place was very clean and the air worked great.

Very private and quiet! A great find! Very clean and the air conditioning works great. Close to plenty of great restaurants, our favorite being Delmar Public House. Great hiking too, especially at the nearby Nature Institute.

We needed a place to stay on the road to New York City. This was perfect for us. Lots of trees and quiet. We enjoyed an evening in the quiet nature and slept well. The driving directions given by the host made finding the property easy.

August 14th-18th! We had a wonderful weekend with our best friends. Visited the Arch, Riverboat dinner cruise, Budweiser Production tour and drove to Boonville to Warm Springs ranch!!! The cabin was awesome and found it clean and comfortable. It had everything we needed. Enjoyed a visit with the neighbor lady who’s family/owner of property. She shared some history about the property (very interesting) A great big thank you from our Ohio gang!

Great property, good communication with host, very clean. The 2nd bedroom, smaller one, did not have AC (or at least we couldn't figure out how to turn it on). Was very hot at night. Other than that we enjoyed our stay.

Rustic and comfortable.

It was comfortable. The stirs to the bedroom were tricky because I have two artificial knees, but the beds were comfortable and the rooms were a nice size. We enjoyed the grill and the beautiful setting. We would stay here again.
