Victorian Villa Escape is a private waterfront estate with spectacular views of Lake Wylie. Host your weekend getaway here! We've converted this charming 1900's Victorian Bed and Breakfast into a single family home and it is the perfect location for your next family reunion/bachlorette party/relaxing vacation. Perfectly situated less than 15 minutes from Charlotte uptown, 10 minutes from the airport, and tucked away in a quiet, secluded cove. While quirky and expansive, the entire home and attached apartment has been recently renovated with brand new beds, appliances, linens and towels. Enjoy the beautiful sunset from our lakeside gazebo. Swim or float right from our dock. We can also heat the pool most of year (please ask about rates and availability). Come see the charm and beauty that Lake Wylie has to offer. Bring your own boat or ask about our pontoon rental :) Pontoon holds 10 people and can be rented from us right from the dock.

The attached apartment comes included in our rates for an additional kitchen, livingroom, full bath and queen bed (7th bedroom).

This was a really neat property. The layout of the house was very unique! Plenty of space for our family and we enjoyed the pool as well as the canoe and kayaks. The kitchen was updated and well appointed.

From the child’s play slide to the fishing gear to multiple crock pots to the heated pool, this host has thought of everything. Could have used a few more blankets or throws. It gets chilly at night in mid November. Loved our stay! This was a new location for our annual family reunion. We will be back!

This rental was dubbed “Party Palace” by one of our family members! The house is described perfectly. There were 11 of us and there was so much room to spread out and everyone had their privacy. We were in Belmont to celebrate our son”s wedding weekend and this was the perfect place to stay. We thoroughly enjoyed the pool and opted to rent the pontoon boat which was a big hit as well. We also hosted a bbq one evening for both our in and out of town family members and there was more than ample space to gather. Everyone raved about this house and we were fortunate and blessed to have found it!Steve was very responsive to all requests and questions.

Perfect lake house

We had an amazing stay at this cute and quirky home! The pool was a huge bonus. The layout is a little funky but it worked well for us once we figured out where everything was. The owners have done a great job of making modern updates and still keeping the unique vintage feel of the home. We would absolutely stay here again!

Wonderful home for a family reunion

This house is one of the best equipped and cleanest of any VRBO we rented. It now only has everything you want in a kitchen -- it often has 2 of them, 2 ovens, 2 crockpots, 2 coffee makers (one Keurig). It has many bedrooms with ensuite baths and lots of common areas for the kids to play and the family to gather. The host was super helpful on the two occasions that I contacted him. We would rent it again next year but the week we needed was not available. The pool was very clean with lots of chairs and pool toys. The gas fire pit was amazing. We had a great time there.

A little quirky but great place for large groups. Kitchen was spacious with all the needed appliances with lots of extras.It's always nice to have 2 refrigerators and 2 ovens. The pool and deck set up was great and used often. We took the pontoon out at least 4 or 5 times and the kids loved it. We would return in the future. Our host, Steve, was very responsive and very quickly took care of any issues.Definitely recommend.

Awesome family vacation

Highly recommend.This property is definitely a hidden gem.Our family of 19 ages 2 to 72 and everywhere in between could not have been happier with this location and the home. It is definitely a quirky layout but plenty of room for everyone to spread out. The kitchen is very well stocked and having two ovens and three refrigerators was a bonus. The outdoor living spaces are perfect and the swimming pool was used from morning till dark. We rented the pontoon boat and used it every single day. My family agreed this was one of our best vacations ever. The hosts answered all of our questions promptly. We would definitely come back again.

Great house for a large crowd

We were 15 family members from age 25-90! Everyone had their own space and plenty of areas to have quiet time. We also had a 90 th birthday celebration for our parents, With extended family visiting age 2 to 90 there was something there for everyone! The heated pool was a big hit as was ability to have pontoon boat on sight. The amenities and supplies in the home were more than expected and helpful when having a large crowd!!Would definitely stay there in the future!

Stunning Lake Wylie Gem!

Capturing the wonder of this stay in words simply will not do it justice. The views, the set up, and the house itself are amazing. Everything we could have needed was provided inside and out. This home is one of the most unique and beautiful places we’ve ever stayed. Having access to the pontoon and heated pool was the icing on the cake. On top of that, the host was super helpful and very communicative. They made an amazing stay possible out of a last minute decision to take a trip for our anniversary. My husband and I were able to enjoy the weekend with ease. Can't recommend this location enough, we hope to be back very soon.

Great get away for a big family. We would definitely return but summer time

My family and I stayed for three nights. The house has alot of activities the kept us indoors The kids enjoyed the pool, alittle risky for younger kids who would run to the lake. A small gate would be beneficial.

Why they chose this property

Left unoccupied for over 3 years, this Victorian bed and breakfast had gone from charming to eye sore. In 2017, we stumbled across this property and fell in love with it's quirky architecture. Once we learned that it had formerly been an award winning wedding venue and B&B, we knew we could save this house and allow generations of families to continue making memories at the lake.

What makes this property unique

We want our guests to experience this classic charm and feel comfortable knowing that all proceeds from bookings are reinvested in bringing this unique home back to life.
