This home is situated on MOUNTAIN ISLAND LAKE in Charlotte.
Enjoy the beauty of Mountain Island Lake in this beautifully furnished waterfront home.

This house has 3 bedrooms and 2
full baths. The master bedroom has a king bed and a crib. The
second bedroom has a queen bed. The 3rd bedroom has a queen & a twin loft.- It's a great room for all of the kids. (There are also 2 daybeds in 2 semi-private rooms. Because you have to walk through them to access other room, I do not count them as full bedrooms, but they do have comfortable beds and I allow for the extra guests so I count the 2 rooms as 1 bedroom in the listing).

The open, well-lit, eat-in kitchen with center island is well equipped.
The sun room has a playroom for the children and amazing views of the lake.

This house is strictly NON SMOKING. Please smoke outside only and dispose of your cigarette garbage in appropriate containers.
Outside we offer a dock with table, chairs and benches, 2 swings over the water, children's play areas, an outdoor shower with hot and cold water, a fire pit, etc. Rope swing is not able to be used by tenants, sorry!
Some pets considered with deposit.
Our prices include all fees. No hidden fees.

Wonderful property, has everything you could ask for in a lake house. The backyard and views are absolutely amazing. We had a wonderful stay. This is a beautiful lake. Celebrated my 60th birthday weekend here and couldn't have picked a better location. We hope to be able to come back again to stay.

Overall this home is a beautiful place to spend time outside with family enjoying the lake and the peaceful atmosphere of a quiet lakefront neighborhood. The decks by the lake make relaxing and visiting very comfortable. The host is thoughtful about providing access to everything you might need to be safe and have fun from life vests and extra sunscreen to games and s’mores, the attention to detail is impressive! We had fun.

This house had everything we needed. The lake setting was quiet and relaxing. They had kayaks and paddle boards we could use. The house itself was clean and was stocked with enough supplies for our stay. We hiked in the general area and the whitewater center was really fun. The house had a small fire pit for an evening of s’mores. The host was very responsive. I highly recommend this home.

We had an amazing week at this lake house! The lakefront view is incredible, and the backyard is perfect, with a great deck to relax on. Having a boat available to rent was a huge bonus. The house worked wonderfully for our whole family—from my grandpa to my young kids. The quiet lake made it the perfect place to unwind, and the owners were incredibly accommodating and easy to work with. We would absolutely stay here again!

The house was comfortable and welcoming, with thoughtful amenities and enjoyable spaces inside and out. The boat was an added experience that we thoroughly appreciated, even with some rainy periods. Christine is a responsive and enthusiastic host, and we could not have had a better experience for my 75th birthday celebration!

This is a quintessential lake house and they even just put in a nice new paver patio for lovely outdoor dining. The boat was a perfect bonus for our stay and there was plenty of space to celebrate my son’s birthday. Our youngest daughter really enjoyed all the toys and kitchen in the kids room. There are special extra touches throughout and we would definitely stay again.

Beautiful home and lake access. The kitchen was well equipped, laundry room had everything we needed. The hosts were so friendly and communication was easy. We did not want to leave! I would highly recommend this home if you want a fun, relaxing and stress free vacation.

Host was very welcoming and informative. Everything was just as pictured, cute and perfect for a lovely stay with family. Wish we would have had more time to stay it was so comfortable. Located right on the lake, beautiful to wake up to and have coffee on back porch. We will definitely come back this summer to utilize the advantages of being on the lake. Would recommend this stay to everyone. Neighborhood is also very quiet and secluded.

Host communication was wonderful. Views, backyard and lake access were very relaxing and enjoyable and good for having a pet with you. The fenced in yard was a huge benefit. Check in and check out were easy. Fully stocked with lots of things. Beds were hit or miss, but that's always subjective.

We enjoyed this charming cottage while visiting family in the Charlotte area for Thanksgiving. The lake was a nice setting for our stay & we liked walking through the neighborhood and on the small wooded trail nearby. Our kids are in their 20’s, but we could see how this would be a wonderful setup for younger kids. Our host was very welcoming & helpful.

Mountain Island Lake

We moved our son to UNCC for school and spent a few days together getting some R&R. This home is fantastic with a beautiful view of the lake and very peaceful. I highly recommend staying here rather than any hotel.

Perfect lake getaway

This house is adorable, cozy, and felt like home! Perfect for children! The dock was fun and had plenty of shade to escape the sun. There were also tons of paddle boards and kayaks to enjoy the calm waters. Highly recommend for any easy lake getaway.

What a wonderful lake house

Our stay at this cozy beautiful lake house was amazing. It is so cute, the outdoor lakeside is beautiful and we had everything we needed for cooking our meals. The house is well stocked and has many little extras that will delight. Every detail was well thought out to give the best experience possible. Will definitely be back.
