This Riverview Home Retreat (built in 1979) is just steps away from Ocean Beach Park! The home is a split level design w/ garage. Our fully furnished 4 bedroom and 2 bathroom house even allows 10 relatives to live comfortably! SLEEPS 10 IN BEDS! Maximum 10 occupancy!

Monthly/Weekly/Daily Renters, Essential Workers, Families/Vacationers, Connecticut College, Mitchell College, Coast Guard Academy, Electric Boat, Dominion Energy, Mohegan Sun & Foxwoods Casinos. Family, friend, work, team, bachelor, bachelorette, golf, etc. gatherings are all welcomed.

Beach passes ARE NOT included with booking; can be purchased at Ocean Beach Park admission booth(s). Public commercial olympic sized pool located at Ocean Beach Park (pool passes ARE NOT included w/ booking; can be purchased at park). Unfortunately dogs (pets) are not allowed inside Ocean Beach Park.

Ocean Beach Park is down the street from the home, open Memorial Day to Labor Day. It is less than a 3 minute walk to your left once you step out the front door of the home. The admission booth is located on the boardwalk once passed through the vehicle entrance gate. Guests are able to utilize Alewife Cove for water activities such as kayaks, canoes, or paddle boards (all NOT included). Guests are expected to comply with the CT water safety guidelines/requirements. There is a water access area 2 blocks away where you can access the water on Parkway Drive (Waterford, CT). It is a very short walk across the bridge (to the right) that brings you to the water access area. Besides water activities, the immediate area is a great place for walking, jogging, or bike riding.

We had a nice time, we came up to see Mystic seaport in the aquarium and we were able to go to the ocean right down the road. The host was very responsive and came over to filling holes in their fence since we brought our dogs. We really appreciated the quick turnaround with that.

A nice place to stay beach was right across the street… plus rides for the kids, safe place to stay…..Not luxury .!! but very homey ,needs a little upscale… be careful moving around in the bedrooms not to hit your leg…washer dryer was in the bathroom …I didn’t understand because they have room to put it somewhere else… I wish it was a baking pan…but overall was a good experience.

Good house for a family w/children

Overall impression was good. The house interior is as pictured online. The layout, furniture and temp control overall is comfortable. It was tidy but could have been cleaner. As for the neighborhood, it was more congested than we anticipated due to the public beach. It's great for a family looking to entertain the kids. Lots to do!

Amazing stay at this hone with the family. There was plenty of space for our group to spread out comfortably. Home was very clean and had plenty of extra linens, pillows, and towels thank god cause my kids LOVE using extra towels! Kids all had an awesome time at the beach, especially the water slides. Perfect House for A Beach Vacation

You can't beat the location, 3 minute walk and you're on the beach. The house was exactly as described. We had 4 couples, an 7 year old and an infant with us and everyone was very comfortable. Would definitely rent again.

Good place for a beach vaca with the family

Good location close to Ocean Beach. The house had plenty of room for my large family to stay for 4th of July weekend. Plenty of towels & laundry room were a plus. Only complaints are 1. the house didn’t seem very clean. Saw a few dead bugs upon arrival as well as a LOT of live ones while we were there: earwigs, ants, and gnats. 2. The bedroom & bathroom doors were hard to close and squeaky so you basically had to slam them if you wanted them to close. Made for noisy mornings when you have a lot of people and children

To generally state that the house "didn’t seem very clean" and was full of "dead and live bugs upon arrival" is very disingenuous and misleading. Upon your arrival, it would have been very helpful to at least message Utopia Mgmt OR send photos of the uncleanliness and house full of alleged bugs everywhere. Unfortunately, no correspondence of any sort was made on your part. It is quite possible that the large groups of people, during 4th of July Weekend, coming in and out of the home (using the front AND kitchen porch doors), heavily contributed. This process seemingly dirtied the home up AND allowed bugs inside, rather than claims of alleged filthiness upon arrival. The specific timeline of these events may have easily become scrambled. Although on a positive note, we have since WD40 each and every bedroom door hinge in the home. Problem solved! We hope you continue to utilize VRBO for all of your rental needs. Safe travels!

Amazing cozy home

This house is perfectly situated within walking distance of ocean beach. Even though it was too cold to go for the walk it was nice to have a quick glimpse. We were celebrating a birthday at Foxwoods and the house was more than comfortable for all of my guests. It was cozy inviting and we had basically everything we needed for an enjoyable stay. The casinos are both less than 30 minutes away. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.

We had a great weekend at our beach rental! It was exactly as shown in the pictures. Very clean and close to the beach. The extra parking was also appreciated. We loved being able to bring our doggies. Gates added to the back yard would be nice.

This is a great no frills property right near the beach. The parking is a little tight if you have more than 3 cars, you might have an issue. It's super close to the beach and not a far drive from other entertainment.

Family weekend

We had a small family party at this location to celebrate my husbands graduation from nursing school. We have family from MA,RI and CT so this location was perfect, house was clean and had plenty of room to accomadate 10 adults and a few small children. Backyard was perfect for our small party during the day and was pleasantly surprised by the amount of shade! Parking is a bit tight but the host was gracious in allowing us to park additional cars at an other lot and we did find street parking for the others. (Definitely car pool if you can, so you don't get the neighbors all upset). Beach is beautiful, well maintained, and a lot of fun. Live bands, fireworks, pool, mini golf and arcade all within walking distance! Host responded to all my requests very quickly. House could use a few fluffier pillows, and wish I looked into the parking situation more closely to avoid some stress, but besides that It was just what we needed and we all had a great time! I would certainly recommend this property.

To avoid confusion, we do provide our guests very specific parking detail located on our listing page, house manual/rules, and in message correspondences. There are 5 CARS MAXIMUM allowed on this property rental. Guests will be able to park 2/3 vehicles in the driveway and garage. Guests can park 2/3 other vehicles adjacent to the house on the street. Do not park on front lawn. Please do not park the vehicles past the driveway, into neighbor's street parking spot (brick house). There is a sign on lawn that states "NO PARKING: PERMIT REQUIRED". Please disregard sign as we are owners of the home and you are our guests. No parking permit required. We do hope you continue to utilize VRBO for all of your future rental needs! Safe travels!

This is a great house to stay, and I can't recommend it highly enough. Spotlessly clean, in a very convenient location. We would like to mention that everything was very easy to follow and we had all that we need for a long weekend stay. It was confortable for the group. The owner was very responsive and easy to communicate with. We really enjoy the short distance to the beach!

Walk to beach wasn’t far House nice inside looked like recently remolded had everything we needed trash canisters were full upon arrival told owner and next day someone emptied them we drove to Mystic ate famous pizza place Julia Roberts played in Mystic Pizza enjoyed quaint town and the shops town on the water so beautiful sites good photo ops took a light house sight seeing 2 hr cruise loved it we hated to leave but only had 2 nights in New London doing New England states tour in 12 days We all said we hope come back one day stay at this home u will not be disappointed

Located right across the street from the park, and a two minute walk to the beach. This split level ranch is perfect for a family. We had 3 couples and 2 teens for the weekend and had plenty of room. Everything has been recently updated and they anticipated every need. There is even a Keurig with coffee. Great communication and easy key pad access made this a hassle free rental.

I really wanted to give this property five stars but I don’t think the fire alarm system was working due to none of the led lights on the units being on. Besides that’s, there was plenty of room for the four of us and having the bbq grill on the back deck was great addition. As expected the cabinets were full of everything you would need, the garage also had beach chairs, an umbrella, a beach cart and 1 bucket. I was hoping for more beach toys “for the kids” so we had to buy some from the local cvs. Overall we had a great time, the beach was fun, the water was crystal clear and calm(ish). Last side note for the owner: calm down on the glad plug-ins, way over powering.

We are pleased to hear your family all enjoyed their time at our beach house and Ocean Beach Park. It is disappointing that our rental property was rated poorly due to "thinking" our fire alarm system was inoperable. Indeed, each of our brand new and recently installed smoke alarms AND CO2 alarms (throughout the home) are all functional and operational. Clean, comfortable and friendly

We rented this house on the occasion of my husband's 50th birthday. We booked an event room at Ocean Beach and had a wonderful time in the area all weekend. The house is in a residential neighborhood walking distance from the gated beach. It is within a short drive from other area attractions including dining, historic tourist destinations and lovely state parks. Parts of New London are a bit dodgy - but this neighborhood was friendly and family oriented. (The park at Ocean Beach needs some attention - it probably was in it's heyday about 20+ years ago but our family and friends had a wonderful time.) The house itself is quite clean and comfortable - newly renovated and furnished. It has a very fresh and new vibe about it. The beds were comfortable, televisions and furniture are all nice and user friendly and there are even a few board games available. The person responsible for answering questions related to parking, garbage removal, etc. was very friendly, helpful and responsive. I would recommend a stay here!

Very clean, convenient location

This was a hard review to write. I wish I could choose 3.75 stars, but that's not an option. The house was very, very clean, which is always nice. The passes to Ocean Beach Park were great too. And the owners were very responsive. But a couple things brought my rating down from 4 stars. Since there are only 5 large beds, the listing shouldn't say it sleeps 12, unless they specifically say the other two people need to sleep on couches that don't pull out. Also, the bathrooms could use an update for this price level and 4 stars.
