Bring your boat and turn your cell phone off! This lakefront home on Lake Hiwassee offers the perfect location for you and your family to truly get away and reconnect. Incredible views of the lake and US Forest Service across the water can be enjoyed from almost every room.

Enjoy this completely updated home with new appliances, furniture, linens, Dish Network TV, WI-FI, and so much more! You will want to make you come back every season. We open our incredible home to you and invite you to enjoy it like our family does.

Lake Hiwassee located in the Smoky Mountains of North Carolina and is known for being 93% US Forest Service, so it is both private and pristine. It has premier fishing with a state record 66 pound striped bass caught from its waters! You can enjoy boating, fishing, skiing, wake boarding, knee boarding, rafting, kayaking, canoeing, and anything else you can dream on the water. Our lake is controlled by The Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA). It’s full in the summer months and lowered in the Fall, Winter and Early Spring. Our dock floats all year long on deep water frontage. It’s just a longer walk when the water is lowered;)
We are a remote getaway in the mountains, 45 minutes to Murphy NC.

Absolutely stunning!

We decided to travel from New Hampshire to North Carolina to visit friends and rented this Lakehouse. The house was absolutely stunning, well appointed, clean and had plenty of space to have our friends over for dinner and to visit. They did not stay overnight due to children in school and their schedules, however the house would’ve been plenty big enough if they had decided to stay. We enjoyed canoeing and kayaking. We even caught some fish. The weather was absolutely beautiful and we were able to go swimming and enjoy the sunshine. The 110 steps down to the water is easy, it’s 110 steps up to the house that remind me, I need to get back to the gym. Lol. The hosts were very responsive when booking and I have no doubt if we had any issues they would’ve been responsive. I thoroughly enjoyed my time at DockHolliday.

Loved the house and location

Overall this is a great place I give it a 9.5 out of 10 only thing it’s missing is a hot tub house and lake are beautiful I don’t suggest someone who has trouble walking going to the deck it’s a hike lol but we loved the house the walk to the lake was a reminder that we aren’t 20 anymore since we are all late 30s into early 40s with teenage kids but everyone had a great time!

Wonderful lake location with easy access to town or marina

Loved the balcony views! The grill was effortless and clean. We used the house as a base for exploring the area, so we were mostly out sightseeing during the day. We were amazed at the lack of mosquitos on the open deck--not one!

Wonderful property

Beautiful location, house was everything we needed very well stocked with bedding, towels, kitchenware. we had 7 adults and 4 children from 8mo to 8yrs and the house was perfect for all. We will definitely be back!!
