Location was great! We always enjoy our time in Bear Paw! House is well stocked and much appreciated. Kids loved the ping pong table. Bruce is such a great host. Will be back again!
We absolutely loved staying at this lake home. It may be one of the cleanest most stocked homes we have stayed at. The highlights were a stocked kitchen with room for a large family to gather, eat and play games, the large deck overlooking the lake and of course the dock with a lot of flotation devices and paddle boat. It’s a great place to unplug, relax and just have some good ol’ fashioned family fun.
I highly recommend staying here to make Bear Paw memories! The kitchen is well stocked and it was clean. Check in was smooth and the host was responsive. There are plenty of comfortable beds for families. We enjoyed eating meals at the big table each night and drinking coffee on the deck in the morning. We were also able to rent a boat at Mountain View Marina and had fun! We are thankful for the memories connecting here! Finally, we enjoyed the fire pit one evening after swimming.
We had a fantastic stay! We enjoyed the house, the deck facing the lake, and the floating dock. We brought our own tandem kayaks and standup paddle boards and enjoyed Hiwassee Lake. Swam and floated from the dock. Got lots of exercise going up and down the stairs and path to the dock. Definitely would consider staying here again.
bruce is the best host i’ve ever had. hands down. he’s one you want by your side no matter what you’re doing.
the only thing i regret is not going on one of his cocktail sunset cruises. his boat passed our dock a few times and i regretted it tremendously.
the property is stunning. don’t let the driveway intimidate you, just ease everything in.
trips like mine, and perhaps the one you are planning ….. they are meant for not overthinking anything and relaxing.
this sweet spot of a cabin on the lake, is made for take away days.
time to focus more on the things you’re missing and refill your cup.
literally.
don’t miss out of this spot, or any spot that bruce is hosting.
we are forever grateful for the time there in bear paw and hope to be back on lonesome pine real real soon.
We rented this lake house for a long weekend getaway over Easter. The lake house was perfect. Just as the photos show, well appointed and roomy. Highly recommend for a family getaway.
Spent Thanksgiving weekend at the house with my family and had a great time. We are already planning to come back in the summer so we can go swimming in the lake. The cabin has everything you need for a great vacation and was perfectly clean. Bruce was an excellent host
Owner was attentive and worked with us when we decided on a last minute getaway.
The cabin was well-appointed and had everything we needed. The recent house renovation was well done. We appreciated the blinds on french doors upstairs, especially in the morning when the sun ia bright. We also enjoyed playing table tennis in the basement.
During our stay, we explored nearby waterfalls and trails and the lake by the cabin. The view from the cabin is inpiring!
Clean place with the pictures reflecting exactly what you’ll get when you arrive. Bruce, the property manager, was great to work with. He gave me a call days before our trip to provide distances to the nearest grocery, restaurants, and adult beverage stores. The house had ample space for the two of us, but we couldn’t brought 4+ more people with no issues.
The only two issues we had were technology and the lake water. When knew we would have no cell reception, but wifi was great in the cabin. Unfortunately we couldn’t get the wifi to work on that tv, so the only tv option we had was watching DVDs (we tried Paul Blart Mall Cop, but couldn’t get through half of it). Next because of the cove location, which is great for quiet relaxing, the water wasn’t the best for swimming (a lot of debris from the lake settled in this cove). We took the paddle boats across the lake for better water quality, and were able to enjoy a nice long swim.
TIP: Check with the marina for rentals. It less than 5 mins away from the cabin and plenty of boats to use during your stay.
OVERALL: Great quiet, clean location with all of the amenities that will give you a great lake experience.
