Kaha Lani #213 is a beautiful oceanfront 2 story (2nd and 3rd floor) 2-bedroom corner condo in a quiet area surrounded by Wailua Golf Course and Lydgate Park. The condo is light and airy and decorated with Hawaiian furnishings. Upon entering you are greeted with a spectacular ocean view through 17 ft. of floor to ceiling windows leading to a large lanai. The lanai has a high bar dining set that allows views over the railing. In season, whales can be seen from here. Feel free to use our binoculars. Enjoy your expansive view from the living room and dining room! The sofa sleeper has been upgraded from a double to a queen size mattress. We have high speed internet, flat screen cable TV, Blu Ray player and several games, puzzles, DVD’s, books and cards to keep you entertained. Since we are on the east side, enjoy the gorgeous sunrise!

The oceanfront upstairs bedroom has 11 ft. of windows and a queen bed with a Tempur pedic mattress where you can enjoy being lulled to sleep by the sound of the surf and the breeze in the coconut palms. The bedroom has an adjacent bath with a shower and is somewhat secluded since they are the only rooms on the 3rd floor.

The downstairs bedroom has a queen bed with a Tempur pedic mattress and adjoining bath with a shower over the tub. A portable crib is stored here. There is a laundromat close to the condo on the property. Our outdoor closet has beach chairs and toys, sand mats, snorkel gear and more.

The kitchen is fully equipped for those who like to dine in and there are gas grills in different areas on the property. We provide some picnic supplies including a cooler. A 5 to 10-minute drive away, Wailua and Kapa’a offer numerous additional dining options from fast food to casual spots and local eateries to gourmet dining.

Take in mountain views of Sleeping Giant from the downstairs bedroom, kitchen and front lanai! Lounge by the heated pool or play some tennis. The extensive lawn area allows ample space for outdoor play time. Take a long walk on the white sand beach that extends for 2 miles or use the hike and bike trail that goes right past the condo. Hike the trails at Sleeping Giant or kayak the Wailua River, both nearby. A 7-minute walk brings you to Lydgate Park which has two protected swimming areas within Wailua Bay: a shallow pool for children and a larger deeper pool for adults with a lifeguard. Both pools are protected from ocean swells by rock wall barriers. We love to snorkel here! The park also has a large playground, covered picnic tables, public parking, bathrooms, showers and a large grassy area perfect for Frisbee or kite flying. Across from the swimming ponds is an outdoor walk up bar and grille, Mamahune's, over looking Wailua Bay.

As is common in Kauai homes, our condo doesn’t have air conditioning. Normally, the trade winds coming off the ocean flow through the condo. All the jalousie (louvered) windows are new and most are tinted. We have several ceiling fans and portable fans that can be moved to where you want them.

Kaha Lani provides free parking. The grounds at Kaha Lani are beautifully landscaped across 7 acres with plenty of room to enjoy all the resort has to offer!

Activities nearby include seasonal swimming, snorkeling, water skiing, fishing, surfing, windsurfing, kayaking, hiking, sight-seeing, shopping, tennis and golf.

Always a good stay in kauai

Condo a little old, but overall everything you would need. Kahalani is in a great location. Lots to see and do, and a slower pace from other islands. Thankfully. Units all face ocean, so beautiful views and sounds of the ocean.

Great location

The view was amazing, beach across the lawn, snorkeling/kid cove a short walk down a sidewalk. Could not have been more perfect for us. The cove was not crowded at all in the mornings. Sometimes only 5 or 6 other people there. Afternoons had more but still not crowded like other beaches we drove to.

Central location

Good spot as a home base for island. Most days we spent most of our time in north or south areas. River is very close for cool kayaking trek. Nice beach view for morning coffee. Swimmable beach 10min or less walk on paved path or down beach. Large grassy area in front of unit for kids to play. They have beach towels and 3 beach chairs. Few pool noodles and beach mats. No air conditioning so can get a little balmy at times but was not a major issues with constant winds off coast.

My wife and I and daughter and son in law just had a wonderful 10 days at this property. The view was stunning, the condo had all the amenities needed for a pleasant stay. It is centrally located to cover both the north end of Island and the south part of island.We would recommend this property and would return here also.

Great place for the price

The condo location was very nice, the beach is quiet and the parks nearby are a nice feature. The couch that my son slept on made him sick every night, the property manager was requested several times to fix the main floor shower that didn’t drain, so we had 5 people sharing 1 bathroom the entire week, but overall we would come back to this condo again.

Perfect spot with beautiful beach views and access!

We visited Kauai for 5 nights as part of a 40th birthday celebration trip. The trip couldn’t have been better! The location of this condo is amazing with quick access to basically empty beaches! Walking to Lydgate Beach was so fun and the closet of beach toys, chairs, snorkel gear, sandmat, etc. was great. It’s quiet yet easy to get to lots of stores, restaurants, beaches, etc. 10/10 would recommend! I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Perfect Condo

The condo is exactly as described, although the pictures make the condo look smaller than it is. The view is stunning and instantly puts you in vacation mode! The condo had everything we needed. The complex was well taken care of and drew a lot of families. We found being on the east side a perfect location for navigating the island. While the airport is close, we didn’t hear any aircraft noise. We highly recommend this condo.

Amazing location in paradise

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful property. The beach views, quiet location, easy access to all parts of the island, and beautifully maintained property made for a wonderful experience. The condo was larger than we expected and easily accommodated our family of 4. We were a little worried about not having air conditioning in August, however it was never an issue. The temperatures are mild on Kauai and the breezes made it very comfortable. It was actually cool at night and we used light blankets. The condo was well stocked for preparing meals. The beach chairs, hiking poles, and beach mats were appreciated. We would not hesitate to stay again!

Family Grad 👩‍🎓 👨‍🎓 Trip-Spring Break

Our stay was perfect! The condo was fully equipped with everything we could possibly need from the kitchen utensils, to picnic supplies and snorkeling gear. The space was perfect for our family of 4, both adult children 21 & 23. Location was fantastic as we toured the whole island. We enjoyed hiking the Sleeping Giant, the Smith’s Fern Grotto boat tour, snorkeling in Poipu and Princeville. Our morning walks along the beach were beautiful. I enjoyed sitting on the patio and reading a book in the recliners. We flew a kite on the grounds and used the sports fields behind the complex. Beds were comfy, TV was even fantastic since we were there during March Madness… We enjoyed BbQing at the pool and we used the laundry facilities very near the condo. We enjoyed the quiet, serenity of of the whole complex. Perfect getaway and we would definitely stay here again. Thank you🌺🏝️💕

Mold problem

This property has no air conditioning, so to stay cool you have to sleep with the windows open. Which wouldn’t be a problem if it never rained while we were sleeping. But it did and the Capet in the upstairs bedroom got damp and smelled awful of mold and mildew. Not just from the night we stayed there, this was clearly something that had been an ongoing issue. Mold spores are not something you want to be breathing in, so hopefully they rip out that carpet and replace it with tile. The view is stunning, but the excessive moisture posed a major mold and mildew problem.

Great stay for family, would not stay here with 2 couples

We traveled with our 2 tween sons and the Lihue condo worked really well for us. With the 2 bedrooms and sofa bed everyone had their own space. The condo was clean and had everything we needed (including a bunch of beach stuff we didn't know we needed). Ocean views are spectacular, central location makes touring easy, and Lydgate park is right next door. However, the two bedrooms are not equivalent so I would not advise staying here with 2 couples thinking it is a "2 master bedroom" situation. The upstairs bedroom is spacious with gorgeous ocean view and a wall of louvered windows to bring in the ocean breeze. The adjacent bathroom is also spacious and recently updated. The downstairs bedroom is much smaller, with a small, dated bathroom (clean, but definitely meh) and limited airflow. It got rather hot down there, even with 2 portable fans and the ceiling fan running nonstop. With the single window open we could hear people talking outside the laundromat (vs ocean sounds in the room upstairs). Not necessarily a deal breaker, but definitely something to consider based on who you are traveling with.
