Quaint home from home cottage. Although I was away from my own home I felt at home. The cottage is in a beautiful location and I felt very comfortable there.
We loved our family stay hear. Definitely would come back . The hosts were lovely, helpful and friendly. The area was great, had animals on the doorstep witch the kids loved feeding and holding the chickens and feeding the sheep. The woods was a few metres away witch was great. Some great places to visit less ten 10 minutes away. The cottage was lovely, clean and had everything we needed. We had a lovely time . Thank you
Absolutely oved our stay at the cottage.Friendly hosts next door.Easy parking .Cottage was immaculate. Walks from the cottageAmple secure garden space for ourdog.Loads of a places of interest nearby.
My 4 day break in Lydney, was absolutely wonderful. Jane and Malcom were amazing, from arriving, and right up until my last day. I enjoyed every minute of my stay, and Jane’s dog Sarg, and my dog got along too. Nothing was too much trouble, they are a lovely couple with a lovely Cottage. I will be returning, if not this year, definitely next. The sheep and the chickens, and the peaceful surroundings was so relaxing, Sitting in the enclosed front garden, was unbelievably heaven. My dog was safe in the front, and enclosed back garden, with table and chairs in both. The views, and walking in the woods, was extremely pleasant for myself and my dog. Lots of friendly people with their dogs too, couldn’t ask for anything better. Many thanks Jane and MalcomSue and Autumn
Jane was amazing she made our visit feel like we were visiting a family member. She even offered to pick things up from town if we needed anything. Lots of parking just don’t leave doors open or you’ll get a chicken hitching a ride. Kitchen well equipped and home was spotless, I’d be concerned about the stairs for young children or elderly as very very steep with narrow steps. WiFi very hit and miss but we get that at home in a city so I’m not surprised in such a rural setting. I panicked one day while exploring thought there were lots of dead sheep at side of road, but they were just chilling, not something we see in a city so found it very amusing. I would certainly recommend the cottage lovely location, very friendly neighbours, who stopped for a chat and say hello to our two dogs as they were passing.

So pleased you enjoyed your stay. Thankyou for your kind words.
We had a lovely warm welcome when we arrived! Jane, the owner, provided all the local knowledge needed to plan our few days away including where to eat, get takeout etc. Jane would happily go the extra mile to make sure you have the best time. The kitchen is very well equipped and it was great that we didn’t have to buy condiments..Beds are really comfortable and nicely made up. It was a wonderful chilled break away!Would definitely return and recommend as the area is well located for sight seeing and woodland walks. The only downside was that we had to leave so soon…

What a wonderful review. Thankyou so
Much. It really is appreciated, considering the Forest experienced a loss of electricity with the weather conditions. Can’t wait to meet you both.
We had a lovely stay at the cottage and would happily return. The location is peaceful and perfect for a family break, surrounded by beautiful countryside and great walks nearby. It was an ideal base for exploring the Forest of Dean and the surrounding areas. The cottage itself was cosy, comfortable, and well equipped, and it felt very welcoming after long days out. Our children especially loved seeing the sheep and chickens greeting us at the front door, it made the stay feel extra special and really added to the countryside experience.Overall, a relaxing and enjoyable stay in a charming setting. Thank you for having us!
