Great house on Lake Seneca with easy access to wineries, breweries, downtown Geneva and Watkins Glen. Our family enjoyed all of the indoor amenities including both game rooms.
Our stay before our daughter’s wedding was wonderful! There was plenty of space to get ready for the big day, while providing lots of entertainment for our eight year old grandson.
The host was extremely accommodating and helpful. I would highly recommend this home- beautiful, filled with extra touches, & lovely scenery!
The communication with the host was excellent. The price was very fair. The rooms are bigger than what they seem like in the pictures. The house was spotless and in perfect condition when we arrived. The location was perfect and next to plenty of wineries and great restaurants. We had zero complaints during our entire stay!
It was a nice stay. Everything was as expected. The location is nice with Great Lake views and convenient to town and various wineries. There was no washing machine which was a surprise because there was a dryer. Otherwise nice place.
We had a great week staying here with our kids and a couple friends. The house is right on the water, which we loved - lots of outside seating. The house was very spacious and very clean! The kids (and the adults too) loved that the house was stocked with with tons of board games, kayaks, outdoor lawn games and the game room in the garage. The owner, Chris was super responsive to any questions that we had. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. It was a great vacation!
We had a great week at Seneca Lake. The house was spotless when we arrived. Chris was responsive to any questions. We were able to get late checkout and a towel refresh which was perfect for 7 teenage boys who like to sleep in. The game rooms were perfect for both our sons and their friends to hang out in. We had 9 people total on our stay and we never felt cramped. The kitchen was well appointed. I’ve stayed at a lot of VRBO’s and this was the first where the fridge and freezer were completely empty and clean when we arrived. It was nice to have kayaks, fire pit, and the hot tubAll-in-all it was a great week. We would definitely rent this home again.
We had the utmost fun together at this gorgeous lake view property. We enjoyed wineries, kayaking, and the firepit. It was one of the best girls trip yet and would recommend staying here again. We really enjoyed the ability to cast onto all the smart TVs. The hot tub was well kept and clean and I liked the fact we could maintain that cleanliness with chlorine that was provided. Not only did they have towels everywhere for use but they also had comfy blankets in bins for use in the living room spaces. It was a great escape from our day to day lives.
The house came equipped with plenty of toys for kids from 6 to 65. With a week of 90F days, the kayaks and tubes were used daily. Both game rooms were used at night. Rented a pontoon boat from Roy’s practically next door.
The house was roomy, clean and comfortable for Eight of us. Plenty of quality time with the family - morning coffee under the gazebo to s’mores around the campfire at night.
We did hit a few of the many nearby breweries/wineries. With heat and so much to do at the house, no one really wanted to leave.
Our host, Roy, was very accommodating and replied quickly to any questions we had during our stay.
Great get away for us. Loved the location amd the house. Went out in the day and cooked dinner in the evening. Enjoyed the hot tub, the fire pit and the game room.
Couldn't figure out thr speakers so maybe some instructions on how to use it. Needed extra batteries for the remote and there were none in the house.
Almost ran out of TP!!
Really would have enjoyed a washing machine. Was great to have the dryer for our wet suits and towels from the hot tub.
Over all really recommend this house.
Break Away had something for everyone! Spacious rooms, fully equipped, fantastic views. The owners were remarkably patient and helpful with my many questions. The games rooms...yes 2 of them...WOW! The theater room was the perfect place for these Pennsylvanians to watch our Phillies win game #1 of the World Series. From the hot tub, gazebo, and fire pit, all beautiful views of Seneca Lake as well as the property's dock. Fantastic location near an abundance of wineries and breweries, and the much praised Port Cafe restaurant was within walking distance.
I truly cannot say enough about this one-of-a-kind property!
We had such an amazing time at this property and in the finger lakes. The house is so comfortable and has everything you could need. Chris was wonderful to work with and I was able to contact her with anything and she was quick to respond. Perfect house for any group!
We loved our stay here. Great location to explore finger lakes region. The property had everything we needed…even lots of games that kept the kids busy on our rainy days. Well appointed rooms, had everything we needed for food prep and towels for the lake use. The family enjoyed movie nights in the entertainment room (with popcorn machine), playing arcade games, foosball and air hockey in the garage. Whole family loved kayaking the lake when the weather was nice. Good instructions for arrival and departure. Would definitely stay here again.
We originally rented this house for a family reunion with 5 children, and 7 adults but because of COVID-19, we ended up with 4 adults!
The house was fabulous! Very clean, well stocked with all the amenities and toiletries too! We loved having coffee by the lake, so peaceful and relaxing, and loved the kayaks. The gamerooms were great fun even for just the four adults.
Overall, we would love to come visit Seneca Lake/Geneva again... and stay here at Breakaway!
We stayed at this property for our annual guys road trip, this year taking in the Pitt Vs Syracuse football game. The house fit our large group easily and comfortably. The location is fantastic with easy access to restaurants, breweries, wineries, casinos and golf courses. The house has so many amenities that our group had plenty to do even though the weather the first two days was miserable. All-in-all just a fantastic property ran by wonderful owners!
It was a perfect place to gather family and friends for the rehearsal dinner for our daughter's wedding. So many games to keep everyone entertained, beautiful spot on the lake even in super windy conditions and good set up for food truck in the driveway. Felt so fortunate to have access to such a welcoming home. Thank you for sharing your home with us!
This is a great rental property. I worried it was too far north on the lake, not the case. Geneva is so cute and offers a change from Watkins Glen. The beds were very comfortable. There wasn’t a hair dryer that I found, so don’t forget your own as I did.

I’m so glad that you enjoyed everything! Thanks for the nice review. The hair dryer was in the bottom cabinet, in the downstairs bathroom, sorry you didn’t find it. Hope to have you back again!
The house is absolutely gorgeous and emaculate! We had a family of 10 and had plenty of space. Lots to do on rainy and sunny days. Helpful that the marina is a few doors down for boat rentals. Kitchen and whole house had lots of amenities - however bring your own spices and large pots if cooking for a large group. Chris was easy and quick to communicate with. Hope to rent this property again!
