2nd stay just as wonderful as the first

The property is wonderful. It's clean and has everything you need. The hot tub is really nice to have especially in October. We always enjoyed a stroll down to the lake to watch the sunset. It's a great location too. The sandhill cranes were migrating so we could enjoy their sight and sound. Dave is super easy to work with!

A great getaway!

I stayed with my two dogs in January 2023. I loved the hot tub, we all enjoyed exploring the trails and creek on the property. Peaceful and beautiful! The owner experienced a power outage at his residence during my stay and emailed and called with information, ways to stay warm and more. Luckily, either we weren’t effected or slept right through it, but he was very prompt with all the necessary info had I needed it! Hope to be back!

Angel of a Landlord

Peaceful, perfect home-away-from-home. We had a wonderful 4 days there and so did our dogs. But most of all was the angel of a landlord who got up at 430 am when I called him because my husband was having a serious medical emergency. He came over, helped me contact 911 for the area, and went above and beyond in his kindness, assistance, and concern for my husband and myself. He is a rare gem, and his property reflects that as well. God bless him. Wish there were more like him.

Peaceful, amazing owners and communication.

I brought my dog up here for her last days, she was old and sick. She had the best time walked through all the trails into the creek over the little bridges in the woods. It was amazing and I'll never forget it. And I will never forget the kindness from the owners. This place was clean, beautiful, peaceful and I will be returning for sure. Best place ever.

Wonderful birthday getaway

Our stay was wonderful. Dave is responsive and offers local suggestions. We did encounter a small issue with the gas fireplace but it was by no means a deal breaker and we let Dave know about it upon or departure. Pro tip: we used videos of fireplaces on YouTube in both rooms and it upped the cozy factor. Bonus that you can bring your pup! We would absolutely stay again. It's a great value and then some. Thanks Dave!!

Sweet little house, great price

This was a perfect house to hide away in to complete some writing projects. The overwhelming sound heard was birdsong, and the dairy down the road has great ice cream. Just...be aware and don't be an ignorant city girl like me: the ticks this season are BONKERS. My dog and I casually checked the wooded paths around the property on the day we arrived, and the ticks were all over us. And...the mosquitos were stupid, too. I would think the property would be great during the late fall—maybe after the first snow of the season. Anyway, I was so freaked out by the bug situation that we didn't even take the trail down to the lake, and I only walked my dog along the roads. None of this has much bearing on the house, though, which is charming. Thus, if you're, like, "Yeah, sis. Bugs. Welcome to the country," you'll be fine. The bed was comfy. The kitchen had what we needed to prepare meals. The hot tub was a tub that was hot and bubbly. So would I go back? Sure. Just maybe not with my dog. He wanted to chase deer through the gorgeous, wind-rustled, tick-infested prairie grasses surrounding the property. And maybe not at the height of bug season after a mild winter and wet spring.
