It is a unique home that is in a great location on the river. We loved the well equipped kitchen and creative decorating details that made it a special and comfortable place to settle after a ling day of hiking.

Overall great communication, fantastic location, very clean and couldn’t have been better for our family of 5. It’s a really neat cabin with great kitchen and cookware right close to town and perfect home base for all the outdoor activities.

Weekend stay at the river house

The house was lovely and unique, a great fit to enjoy the town of Winthrop and the surrounding outdoor pursuits. The house was well stocked for our group of 6. We would definitely stay there again!

Wonderful, relaxing home

Stayed in this home for a family get away. So relaxing, love the river access, proximity to town and trails. Pizza across the parking lot was great for a noprep dinner. Thank you for a wonderful family get away!

We had a wonderful experience!

The river house is quirky and cool and was a great place for our families getaway. We loved that it was so close to town, was quiet, and had enough space for the 5 of us. We will definitely be back!

George's cabin has an interesting design, comfortable living space overlooking the river, and a well-equipped kitchen. Perfect for a weekend getaway. Recommended.

Charming, artsy property unlike any other

George's place is a unique property full of creative details, located right on the river. Lots of art, lovely outdoor sitting spaces, and has all the necessary basics.

George’s Place

This is a very unique property located on the Methow River. George, the owner and builder of the home, was most interesting and very hospitable. We enjoyed our stay and will be back

It's a funky little place, but it suited our purposes. First challenge is finding the place (the front door is by a parking lot behind a pizza joint (didn't try the pizza), and it backs up on to the river. There are several other industrial looking dwellings there, but we never saw any other neighbors (it's private). There is a slightly steep but doable path to a picnic table by the river, that's lit up at night. The place definitely has an industrial feel to it. Theres not a lot of bells and whistles. There is an outdoor covered area near the back of the house to sit/eat outside. Interestingly, one bedroom is really nicely furnished and seems like a spa, the other bedroom is more of a bed thrown into a small room. Beds were fine, water was hot, places to sit. My only real complaint is how dark the bathrooms are, made it hard to put in my contacts. We were there during the fires, so we spent a LOT of time indoors and we kept ourselves entertained. Would recommend.

Cold plunge

The cabin was unique and rustic. We enjoyed the local brewery and 2 days of heli-boarding at N. Cascade heli. Comfortable beds and nice size.
