Relax at Turtle Time

The location was perfect with an easy walk to the beach and a quick drive to restaurants and shops. The home provided everything my family needed and we will stay again!

Miramar House

We enjoyed our stay at this location. It was not very clean, but after we cleaned it we felt much better about the space for our family of 12. It was close to the beach- a big plus. It was not as advertised because the furniture had been replaced and there was not enough seating on the decks outside and what was there was very uncomfortable. A grill was advertised but there was not one there. Despite the great location and adequate sleeping arrangements for our family, we will be looking for a new location next summer.

Great location. Kids enjoyed the pool

Location is great, on second row very close to a public beach access. The kitchen is very well furnished with many new appliances and knives that actually UT. It is small though and the dining table can accommodate only six despite the house can accommodate many more people. The kitchen cabinets have seen better times but they are functional. Overall the whole house could see some updates but it's rundown either. The kids loved the pool. Overall it worked great for our family of 6 and it was a good value for the location. I think it would be a bit of a challenge with a larger group of people.

Do not stay at property managed by Better Beach Rental

The worst customer service experience I have ever had. We went through VRBO and this booking was managed by Better Beach Rentals of Oak Island. Our rental was originally changed once because of hurricane damage, which we understand completely . Better Beach didn’t notify us of the first home being damage and not rentable. Only because we called did we even start the process for another rental. Then our booking was changed 3 times within 24 hours of our check in date and on the check in date. Each time we were changed, the office continued to try to get us to take a refund. We were already here in NC and REPEATEDLY TOLD “ take your refund and go home” !this quoted statement was by the manager Karen. We are here trying to build a home on this beautiful island. To be treated this way is horrifying. If I was to rent my home I definitely would not want them to represent us!!! This was absolutely the worst customer service. We are extremely disappointed. ◦

This is surely not what we’d like to hold ourselves to when it comes to the quality of our service.
