. Beautiful and sought after beachfront property on quiet and peaceful Caswell Beach. The spacious deck overlooks the beach and the ocean. Your only steps away from the beach with your own private access. The house has an open concept connecting the living room, dining room, and kitchen. There are four bedrooms and two of them overlook the beach. Caswell Beach is a pet friendly community and there are lots of activities nearby. We have just recently hired a professional cleaning staff! Satisfaction guaranteed!! Gas card with every reservation of 2 or more days!

The host (Holly) was very quick to answer any questions we had. The house was so nice!! When we first entered, we were impressed at how clean the house was. It smelled so nice even. The beach theme decorations were interesting. I really liked them.There was everything that we needed for our stay. The back deck was a nice touch. We got to look out our bedroom window and watch the ocean. W we want to stay here again!!!! Thank you Holly for such a pleasant stay. Our favorite place now!!

The house was generally as it appeared in the listing. In general it is an older beach house and as such the house shows some wear-and-tear. It does have very nice beach access and is very nicely located. The house was generally clean although I do think a deep cleaning would be nice (ceiling fans, base boards, etc). I think investing in some new bed pillows would be a great idea! Overall our experience was good and we would stay here again.

My new go to place.

If I had a beach house this is what I would want it to look like and the location I would want it to be in. It felt like home to me. I have no complaints. Loved everything about it. Perfect for me and my family.

Great pet friendly house

Loved the location. Private section of beach that wouldn’t be crowed even in the summer. House was just as pictured. Comfortable beds and pretty well stocked kitchen. Only complaint was there were no true beach chairs. Just rusty folding patio chairs. We would have brought our own, but were told there were many. Also, didn’t know there were biting flys. Had to buy spray with deet and apply liberally to sit on the patio or beach. Found out this was a yearly occurrence for September and October. Overall, it was a great stay.

We Would Not Stay Again

This was, by far, the filthiest home that we have ever rented. That old pee smell when you walk in the door does not go away, no matter what you do. The rugs, beds, floors, and toilets were filthy. We had to go buy sheets and towels and cleaning supplies. A roach ran across the floor as we were getting ready for bed. The entire home needs a good scrubbing from top to bottom.

Charming Beach Cottage with Quirks

Let me start by saying that this is an amazing stretch of beach, quiet and uncrowded. The house is cozy but does need some refreshing; if you want to cook I would recommend bringing some extra pots and pans, there were lots in the cupboards but all damaged from heavy use. The coffee maker didn't work and there are quite a few lightbulbs out. With the beach wind the siding rattles and keeps you awake and the house sways quite a bit. The porch is a great place to enjoy the view but I hope that it has some maintenance done on the off season as the sturdiness of it was questionable, just don't stand all in one place. As far as the bedrooms go the true bed configuration is 1 king, 1 queen, 1 double and 2 singles. The house needs a good off season deep clean, air vents were coated in dirt/rust, sand in dresser drawers. Overall my family enjoyed our vacation here, just know what to expect.

We had a frustrating experience with Holly, the host. On check-in day, we received no communication from her, so we reached out at 3 pm. By 4 pm, our check-in time, we still hadn’t heard back, so we contacted Vrbo for assistance. After some delays, Holly mentioned she had been in the hospital, but she should’ve had someone else handle the check-in details. Eventually, Vrbo told us the key was under the doormat, but when we arrived, it wasn’t there. We had to keep calling and texting Holly with no response. When we finally got in touch, we were told the keys were in the laundry room, though we had to be directed further before finding them.Upon entering the property, we were hit by a strong musty smell, and the house was in poor condition. It was nothing like the listing described. The walls were stained, the AC units were poorly maintained, and there were dangerous objects like a rusty tack on the living room chair. The house was filthy, with mold in the showers, dirty kitchenware, and sand everywhere. The TVs were outdated, and the kitchen was ill-equipped.To make matters worse, Holly threatened me with a bad review when I mentioned sharing my experience. After asking her to stop, she only did when I labeled it harassment. Despite following all house rules, the experience fell far short of expectations. We won’t rent from Holly again.

You will love this property! Very quiet and private! Please check the reviews on Airbnb and Bookings! There was only 1 review on VRBO and that was an untrue review! The property books quickly so most reviews are from Airbnb! The setting is gorgeous you can see the sunrise and sunset from the back deck facing the Ocean! Gorgeous!
