Sugarloaf condos in Cedar Mi

Very good location near Traverse City. Property needs a bit of an update - toaster oven does not work, water not drinkable. Great swimming pool available on site. We enjoyed our stay. Diana and Tim Heitman

Nice place for families.

Enjoyed our week there with the grandkids. Great location, nice pool. Owner was awesome. Only negative was uneven deck boards, tripping hazard, but owner is contacting HOA to fix ASAP. Would stay there again!

Long weekend for family reunion in the area.

Check in and location were great. Would have liked to have a full set of measuring spoons to help with the baking/cooking I wanted to do. Only could find one 1/4 teaspoon. A few small maintenance items are needed to be attended to and I reported them to the owner. He responded quickly.

Perfect location!

We loved our stay at the Sugarloaf condo. A perfect landing place for our family of 7. Location is ideal within easy driving distance of Sleeping Bear Dunes, Glen Arbor, Good Harbor Beach, Leeland and Traverse City. So much to do and explore in this area! The condo was as described - casual and comfortable. Easy access to the pool and our kids played soccer in the yard. We would definitely stay here again.

The best of everything

Staying here made us feel like we were in a private mountain community with beaches just around the corner! Pool was a great bonus. Our kids enjoyed the various streaming services on the TV. Clean, comfortable and plenty of room for the 6 of us. Very close to Leland which is our favorite spot. Hope to be back!

Spacious 2 story condo at Sugarloaf Mountain with pool access!

Spacious condo great for families with children. There were plenty of board games provided by the owners which my kids loved. Upstairs bedroom for children has two twin beds in addition to 2 rollaway beds and pack n play in the closet. Condo had plenty of extra towels and blankets. Beds were comfortable including the newer futon in the living room which my 70 year old mother slept on. We also liked that it had 3 a/c units, a necessity in the summer. Condo was close to the pool as well. Pool is "heated" but felt pretty cold, even in early July. We visited the Sleeping Bear Dunes which was close by. Overall, a great stay!

Quiet location perfect for our family’s trip to Northern Michigan

John communicated with us quickly every time: before, during, and after our stay. The property was clean, the beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked, the bathrooms were fine. The pool was not open, nor did it have water in it. We visited Memorial Day weekend, but it was not open on Memorial Day. There were nice walking paths in the area. You will have to drive at least 10 miles to get to any restaurants. I would definitely stay again.

Great location. Townhouse needs work.

Overall, we had a great stay. Great location. Close to a lot of things including a perfect little beach for our little kids. The creepy abandoned ski resort next door didn’t bother us. We were intrigued and learned more about it! Sounds like renovation will start in the near future. We enjoyed the fully stocked kitchen and larger deck. The pool was just yards from the deck and that was awesome for our 1, 3 and 5 year olds. Kind, welcoming neighbors too! Lots of green space to run around in the back. Parking was right by the entrance. Cable tv was fun for our kids since we don’t have it at home:) the airstrip nearby was super fun for the kids to see a couple prop planes take off. There are a few things that could use some attention: When we walked in the smell was, to be honest, nauseating. It was a mix of old cigarette smoke and mildew with some air freshener. There is obvious water damage and it needs to be addressed. I was somewhat concerned about the air I was breathing in. I would imagine mold could be an issue. I got used to it, but it deters me from renting again. The air conditioners are extremely dirty. They need to be cleaned and possibly replaced. In order to have the one work better, we needed to clean out some of the dust. More bath and kitchen towels/washcloths Would be helpful. The deck was nice to have, but some of the boards were warped causing stumbling and a couple nails that stuck up. Not sure how common 10am check out is, but it was a stretch for us to get out by that time with three littles. And the folks cleaning came 15 minutes early and sat in their car waiting. They were in and out in an hour or less. So, perhaps, 11 am would be good. Especially since new renters wouldn’t come till 3pm. Just a thought :) Thanks for the stay! Communication was great and, as said, we enjoyed our time!

Why they chose this property

We first vacationed in this condo in 2009. We loved it so much that when the previous owner decided to sell, we bought it! My wife Melanie grew up camping in nearby Lake Ann. I grew up in Ohio and had never been north of Midland until we vacationed in Traverse City in 2008. We ended up in Leelanau County on that trip and fell in love with it. Since it is located in the heart of the county, we are 15 minutes from all of the activities we enjoy.
