About this property

~A~ Little Bit of Heaven on Lake Lanier - Convenient to TIEC

The Oar House is an awesome place no matter the time of year. It's great in the summer for water play and relaxing. The view is spectacular, and you can swim right from the deck. It's beautiful in the fall when the autumn leaves are reflecting on the lake. Not far to a Clemson football game and then back to the lake to enjoy the autumn weather. In the winter it's just peaceful and quiet, and it's a great time for hiking and biking. This newly renovated home sits right on the lake. You have to see it to believe it! There is a living room and dining with a fully equipped kitchen all open to each other.

This house has three levels. The main level suite has a queen bed and the upper level suite has a queen bed, a daybed in the bedroom and a sitting room with a sofa that could sleep one. (It is not a sleeper sofa). Both suites have private baths. Both bedrooms have absolutely awesome views of the lake. The lower level has 2 bedrooms and a full bath. One bedroom has a queen bed and the other bedroom has a double bed and 2 twin beds Both rooms have vanity sinks.

There are three wonderful decks to relax on and eat on if desired. There is also an eating bar in the living area with six bar stools and the dining room table seats 8 comfortably.

This place is great for our family . We bring 5 cars and 3 kayaks, so large parking area is great for us. Water area is great for all 8 adults it enjoys with floaties , perfect!

Perfect lake getaway

We had a multigenerational group that enjoyed the house and location. It’s our second stay and each time gets better-Coffee on the porch, Swimming off the dock, games around the big table and easy access to Landrum and Tryon. We already look forward to next year.

Stay to be close to family for my Mom's birthday celebration in Saluda! The kids loved the lake! We had a great time visiting all of the cute small towns in the area, hiking, and rafting!

Great house and beautiful location

This is our second time staying here, and we rented it again for obvious reasons: house is clean and is in a beautiful location and the owners are responsive and helpful. It really makes the trip worry free and tons of fun. Highly recommend.

Great Gathering Place

The house was very clean, well stocked. It offered many opportunities to either lounge on the deck and enjoy the beautiful scenery or play games. If desired, there was hiking, water activities available. The homey atmosphere added to the ambiance and would certainly consider renting again.

Our group was in town for a nearby wedding. We really enjoyed sitting on the big porch and sitting on the dock. House was perfect for what we needed and expected. Would like to go back when we did not have to leave for a wedding. Very peaceful spot

Beautiful house on a beautiful lake. Extremely peaceful.. Would highly recommend! For those with littles, just be aware that the house goes directly out to a dock and the water is deep.. definitely no zero entry point. Made for terrific swimming and play for our older kids! Can’t wait to visit again!

What a beautiful place! We came together from MO, NY, and PA to attend our son's wedding. The Oar House was great. We had plenty of room for the eight of us. The sereneness of the Oar House made it ideal for relaxing and visiting. We loved the little towns of Tryon and Landrum. It truly is an escape from reality.

Peaceful, Comfortable House - Great Layout

This was a perfect place for our multi-generation family gathering, although maybe not a perfect fit for all such families - going up and down steps is a requirement for anyone staying here. The location is located between Fletcher NC and Greeneville SC, and is near several popular wedding venues, besides lots of other attractions, natural and man-made! The house was clean, the kitchen was well equipped, and the layout allowed everyone to have some separate sleeping and bathroom space. Parking and check-in were easy, and communication with the owners was great.
