We had a wonderful week at the lake. Though the weather wasn’t the best, getting to see River otters and beaver in the cove one night more than made up for it. The house was perfect with everything we needed and the new bathroom remodel was beautiful. We love Lake Mayo.

Thank you so much for sharing your lovely lake house with our family. We really enjoyed kayaking & paddle boarding. We did some fishing off the dock and our dog got to swim in her life jacket for the first time. We even got to sneak in a quick fire for smores before the rain. Then we had fun playing ping pong & connect four inside. When we watched movies we didn't even have to fight for the comfy recliners, we all got one!! We really enjoyed our stay and felt right at home in such a clean and cozy place. Our host was very helpful with hints of things to do and provided everything we needed, highly recommend!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The kitchen had all the basics we needed to cook for four two of the four evenings we were there, the beds were very comfortable, we very much enjoyed the fire pit and eating on the upper deck. My husband and daughter enjoyed being out on the water-we brought two kayaks and my husband used his but our daughter tried her hand ato paddle boarding and loved it. I highly recommend this quiet and peaceful cottage.

The "Cottage on the Cove" was the best place I have ever stayed at. It had everything you needed for a family getaway. We fished off the dock, made smores at the firepit and just enjoyed our family time. Would love to stay again@

Cottage on the cove is one of the best homes we’ve stayed in. The house is extremely well stocked, the lake is gorgeous, with really great fishing, and there is enough around in the surrounding area to venture out for days trips if needed. We highly recommend staying here.

Wonderful Lake Stay

Absolutely fabulous views of the lake and well furnished both inside and out. Comfortable furniture and excellent mattresses and pillows. Hosts were easy to communicate with and very responsive. We will definitely stay again!

This place is a true gem! The layout is wonderful and you can easily accommodate a large family comfortably. Easy access to Roxboro for anything you need. We enjoyed walking Mayo Lake Park trails (and a picnic!) and enjoying La Piazza for dinner. Paddle boarding, fishing, and kayaking adventures were enjoyed by the whole family. We think our pup might enjoy the lake more than the beach!! Very clean, comfy, and Kristen was amazing to communicate with from the start. We’ll be back!

Beautiful home and location for a peaceful getaway. Kitchen and bathrooms were well stocked which was much appreciated. We really enjoyed the firepit and our time in the lake. Definitely will be back again for another staycation. :)

The amenities were perfect! The house was clean and very comfortable. It was too cold to enjoy the water, but the view and night sky was awesome! Also enjoyed the fire pit. Great location if you're looking to get away to a quiet place. Grocery store only about 10 minutes away. Would definitely recommend!

Great week away

This was a wonderful week away. Our grandchildren and dogs were easily accommodated and we all had a great time. The host is incredibly accessible, helpful and accommodating. Highly recommend for a low stress fun family vacation.

Perfect lake getaway

Great house for a family lake trip- plenty of games and lake gear to enjoy the whole property. We just wish we could have stayed longer- we hope to come again.
