This 1 bedroom, 2-bathroom penthouse condo sleeps 6 with a king bed, one sleeper sofa, and one Murphy bed. It features a balcony that faces west and offers partial slope views to the south. Vaulted ceilings throughout. Stainless steel appliances in the kitchen. The extra full bathroom is a great added convenience. There is slate at tile entryway and wood flooring throughout. It’s ideally located in River Run Village so you’re steps away from shopping, restaurants and local festivities and a walking distance to tge high-speed gondola. Red Hawk Lodge offers shared amenities including an outdoor pool and two hot tubs.

The entryway has slate tile, mounted hooks and a bench for your convenience while coming and going throughout the day. The living area has a flat screen TV mounted above a gas fireplace and a queen-sized sleeper sofa. Near the living area is a Murphy bed that can be pulled out from the wall at night for additional sleeping arrangements. Extra sheets and blankets are in a closet. The homeowner has also provided a Blu-ray player and board games for your enjoyment. The balcony is just off of the living area. Take in the fresh mountain air and enjoy the partial slope views off to the south.

The full-sized kitchen is stocked with all the essential cookware and tableware to make a meal away from home and features stainless steel appliances. The dining area comfortably seats four. The first of two full bathrooms is located just off of the living area and has a single sink vanity and a shower/tub combination. Both bathrooms are stocked with towels and an initial supply of toiletries.

The primary bedroom features a king-sized bed, a flat screen TV and a Blu-ray player. There is a built-in bench that offers storage and a place to take in the views. The en suite bathroom has double sinks and a shower/tub combination.

**Ivory White Bedding** This property has been upgraded with ivory white bedding modeled after high-end hotels and resorts. Enjoy the luxury of a soft, white-striped duvet cover with a medium thick, high quality down alternative duvet. Great stay

It was truly a great stay. This location is far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the cities but yet close enough to get there within 10 to 15 minutes. Itself has everything you need. Enjoy your time at the resort. The check-in process was a little flaky and it would be nice if there was a map to your actual condo location because there’s a north and south side to the building. Got lost a couple times. Lol Be wary of construction in the area as this location is growing rapidly.

The master bedroom had lots of room. I will definitely consider staying here again. Summit Country Mountain Retreats is my favorite property management company.

Location is great but basic infrastructure needs updating. We received an email on the date of the reservation indicating that heat and hot water were both not functioning. By the time we arrived, they were both working, but the unit was very cold due to the lack of heat throughout the day. By morning, the hot water was no longer working so we were unable to take showers. Other recent reviews have expressed the same issue. It seems to be a recurring problem that has not been addressed.

Red Hawk Penthouse

Pros; The king bed was very comfy. The location was good although the walk around the new building construction was not great. The spa area was very nice with two hot tubs and a steam shower. Bring a towel from the condo though as there are not always towels provided. Cons: The selection of pots for cooking was very limited. There were many lids but only one smaller pot, the other two were large stockpots. I looked in all the cupboards and there were several things that were just taking up space, i.e. a rice cooker with no lid, a plastic knife holder in a cupboard. The temperature of the water in the master bathtub was lukewarm, luckily the other bath was fine. A toaster that was not working was replaced quickly. A light was burned out in the ceiling above the door. These things I reported to management and hopefully they will be fixed for the next renter. Location makes everything easier! Quick walk to anything, leave car in the heated garage. Nice year round pool and hot tubs. Well equipped kitchen. Luggage carts to bring stuff in and out. Easy!

Snowboard trip!

Great overall stay. Clean cozy condo with wonderful views and a great location. Check in was a little complicated having to drive to the check in lock boxes and then having to drive to a separate property, all for our south elevator to get stuck on the 5th floor right as we are loading up the trolly to head in. Elevator was eventually sorted out so we could check in and had no issues moving forward. Other than the tight parking lot and elevator mishap, no complaints at all. Absolutely would book again!

Bad Experience Regarding Our Stay

We encountered several significant issues during our stay at the penthouse (South Tower, Unit 2313). Unfortunately, our experience has been far below the expectations for a premium rental.1-Broken Elevator: The elevator in the South Wing was out of service for the entire week of our stay, which was extremely inconvenient given that we were staying on the 5th floor. We called management multiple times to check on the elevator situation, but we were only told what we wanted to hear, with no clear or honest updates provided. Each time, we were reassured that concierge assistance would be available if needed. However, when we called on the last day to request concierge help with our luggage, no one showed up, and no one followed up to confirm the assistance we had been promised. This lack of reliability and communication made the situation even more frustrating.2-Overwhelming Sewer Smell: Upon arrival, we were met with a strong sewer odor that was overwhelming and disappointing.3-Broken Ice Maker: The refrigerator’s ice maker was not functioning, which added to the inconvenience during our stay.4-No Hot Water in the Master Bathroom: The master shower lacked hot water throughout the stay, making showering uncomfortable and unacceptable for this type of rental.5-Unclean Bedding: On the first day, we found hairs on the bedding, which raised hygiene concerns and left us very disappointed.To say this has been a terrible experience is an understatement.

We really appreciated the Murphy Bed for our teenage son. Very comfortable with all the amenities we were looking for. The property management company provided detailed instructions prior to arrival and everything was clearly communicated. For the most part the unit was clean and well maintained, but could use a good scrub. There was food on the walls next to the dining table and thick dust behind the bed.Also, the hot water was luke warm in the master shower however both sinks had hot water. It seems the cartridge for the shower needs replacing. The lukewarm shower was disappointing, however the other bathroom shower did have hot water. This was a minor inconvenience and would not prevent us from renting this unit again as everything else was so nice. Overall we enjoyed our stay here and hope to come back some day. Thank you!

Nice place but very warm inside during summer

This is a nice complex but there is no AC for summer visits. This is usually no big deal in this area, but for some reason, the 5th floor of this building is unusually hot. When we arrived at 9pm, it was 85 degrees in our room. We didn’t sleep at all the first night of course and then continued to fight the heat the rest of our stay. Daytime room temps were 80 degrees with fans blasting and we’d hit about 70 degrees in there by 11pm.
