We stayed in this home over Christmastime, in order to attend family events in a nearby town. The location was great (on a country road without close neighbors) and not far from our relatives' homes. The home was very clean with 2 bathrooms and 3 bedrooms, a nice living room and a nicely arranged kitchen. The check-in process was very easy (even though we arrived in the evening).

Wonderful house in a beautiful location

We had a great week-long stay in July 2019. The property was immaculate and well appointed. The a/c was easily adjustable and cooled the house well. Everything was exactly as listed. We will return!

Great Property!!!

A beautiful house located in the rolling hills outside Buffalo, New York. We came to town from Texas for a Buffalo Bills game in October and the autumn colors were absolutely spectacular. The house was clean and very well maintained. We had such an epic time that we plan on returning to the area in the future and hope this property is still available.

Great little cottage in great location

This home was perfect for our solar eclipse trip. Freshly updated and beautiful decor throughout, comfortable furniture - especially the beds, stocked kitchen, modern bathrooms, plenty of outdoor spaces to relax and enjoy the fresh air. We sat around a fire one evening, since the host was kind enough to assure fresh wood was ready for us! Plenty to do in the area that was easy to get to from this centrally located home. Mike is a wonderful host!

Spectacular and peaceful

Oh my family and I are originally from the Eden area. We were back in town for several days for a family event. The cottage was beautiful. Spotlessly clean. And amazingly restful and restorative. Clarksburg is a very beautiful area and we sincerely enjoyed every aspect of the cottage especially the fire pit where it’s by the evenings Telling family stories and listening to the creek in the background. It was absolutely perfect.

A Pleasant Experience

We were pleased with our 4-night stay at this comfortable small house. We stayed over Christmas in order to visit family in the area. The house is an old house which has been attractively updated; it has one bedroom on the first floor, 2 upstairs, and 2 full bathrooms. The house could not have been any cleaner, with abundant and nice plates, glasses, cookware, etc. Although close to the road, the house is located on a rural 2-lane road and the occasional passing car did not disturb us. Note that there is no garage and no backyard.

Relaxing

We really enjoyed staying in this house. It seemed very warm and welcoming. The beds were comfortable. I enjoyed the Keurig and k cups provided. The walk to the creek was nice in the morning. We saw a deer at the creek. If we had the right shoes we would have walked in the creek to the little falls but we could see them and it was nice with the birds singing. We sat out on the porch a couple evenings and heard the birds. There were 3 of us but 2 chairs , but I had brought a folding chair. We enjoyed sitting at the kitchen table looking out the window hoping to see a deer, while eating or playing a game. Saw some catbirds. It was nice having central air as it was pretty warm a couple nights. Also ate at the picnic table. I love staying out in the country. I would recommend this to anyone traveling that way.

Clarksburg WNY Retreat

Mike - I would hire better cleaning staff; more hooks to hang up clothes in upstairs bedrooms; towel racks. The outside grill was not cleaned out. Overall great experience and we will be back! Thanks again for all your hospitality.

Another Great Visit

It was our second August in a row staying at Clarksburg Cottage and was just as nice. Last year it was a lucky find and this year we had to come back. And we were so glad we did. My daughters love the nearby creek (and so do my wife and I). The house is so comfortable. It had everything we needed and is so nicely maintained and decorated. Plus, the nearby towns and farms are so nice to drive through and visit.

Amazing

We had a wonderful time in this home! The location worked out well, the inside is beautiful and so clean. We appreciated the owner's added benefits which included coffee and laundry soap and garbage bags...just to name a few. That makes things nice when flying in. We would definitely stay again!

Wonderful Home close to Niagara Falls and other fun places!

We loved staying here. Stayed with our 5 year old twins who had a blast. Only a hour to Niagara Falls as well as the Lockport Caves. House is beautiful and very clean. Spacious as well. Peg and Mike were wonderful to contact if we needed anything and got back to us right away. The town of Hamburg is about 15 minutes away and an adorable town with lots to offer. Overall a wonderful experience!

Family staying in a home of their own while visiting.

The Clarksburg cottage is a pristine home away from home. It's situated on a quiet Road, for easy walking , and short drive to local villages. It was perfect for our out of town family to stay in while visiting us. Clean, and well maintained & cozy. Our grandchildren loved the comfortable bedrooms up stairs, and our son had his privacy in bedroom downstairs. Each with their own bathroom.

Perfect Winter Getaway

Gorgeous property nestled between Buffalo/Niagara area, village of Hamburg, and local ski spots. Peg and Mike were very attentive, even stopping by to help plow us out after a winter snowstorm. Cottage is better than photos with great attention to detail and extra cozy amenities. It was a lovely retreat for our family of six!

Perfect home base

Thanks to Peg and Mike for a wonderful stay. Their home is charming and modern, and was the perfect spot to stay while visiting family in Amherst, Buffalo, and Orchard Park. The owners were incredibly flexible with our changing plans, check-in was super easy, and the house was perfectly set up and well-stocked for our family of 5. We loved our time there and hope to be back soon!

Amazing Vacation

We had a great time. The house is beautifully decorated and very comfortable. It was such a nice spot to use as a base for exploring the region (Niagara Falls, Lake Erie, etc.) or just spending the day relaxing near the house. My daughters loved the creek which we spent time at every day. They are already planning our return trip for next summer.

Wonderful Clarksburg getaway

This house was perfect for the two of us, but could have easily accommodated another couple or children upstairs. The house is freshly renovated, furnished with charming antiques and comfortable furniture, and impeccably clean. The surrounding countryside is beautiful and very peaceful.

Highly recommended!

We loved staying in Clarcksburg Cottage. We found it sparkling clean and very well equipped. The creek walk starting in the backyard is one of the most amazing nature gems we’ve ever seen, and the location of the house is very convenient for other hikes and adventures. We will definitely recommend staying here.

Buffalo Bills Weekend

We were in Western NY to enjoy a fall weekend and Buffalo Bills game w/our kids. The house was a cozy get away and a short drive to New Era Stadium. It’s adorable blending of old farmhouse feel with modern decor and amenities make it a very nice place to stay. Peg and Mike were available for any questions and responded promptly. It’s a great stay!
